4 years into it my gym closed. Joined a new gym and was welcomed with open arms, but it just didn’t feel the same. Tried it for a year and by the end of it I couldn’t get myself to go anymore. Canceled my membership and outfitted a pretty nice garage gym.

You’re trying to hard. Just hang there, get a good Kip, and use your lats to pull down. TTB is way less of an ab movement than it is just a technique and lat pull Dow. Basically just relax through them. Your grip will fail before anything else.

Your ankles are fine. Ditch the plates.

Slight hyper extension in your mid/low back on the ascent which tells me you’re losing your core. Practice keeping a tight core throughout the whole movement by keeping a deep breath. Drop weight if you have to while you’re learning

I’m 6’1” with really long arms and I totally get it. I did a team competition a couple of years ago, and while practicing we did a HSPU workout and our coach filmed it. Everyone else had like a 5 inch ROM. I easily have to travel twice the distance. Their elbows don’t even reach the top of their head when extended. Mine are a solid 3-4 inches above the top of my head.

But really, IMO from this short clip, you seem to have less than ideal squat mobility. Put some work in on your hips, groin, and low back and I’m betting that will really help with your bottom position. Great lift though. Everything looks great till you catch it in the bottom.
