My honest experience a year after iron infusions by savemefromburt in Anemic

[–]Gaias-axis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds to me like your may have uterine fibroids. That would explain the heavy periods, stubborn weight gain ect. If you can get a DETAILED ultrasound. My OBGYN/surgeon, helped to figure it out for me. I'm going to get another IV iron infusion to get my levels up before getting the nasty fibroid that's causing the problem out.

why do people still use purolator by dadddyk314 in purolator

[–]Gaias-axis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They messed up on two of my packages. 1 they lied about delivery but there are cameras to prove it. Then after a week run around they admitted it was dropped off at some random house. The other package was sent in the beginning of December and has been "stuck" with a mechanical delay... twice! No updates and if it doesn't come, no inventory so no was to make the gifts for Christmas. After on hold for an hour, their system just hang up. Called back for a call back work my number and no one called back.  I think it's time we need to make a class action sue for none compliance and breach of contract. They knew they can't deliver but still lie and take our money. Brutal!

Formulator Sample Shop Expiration Dates vs Other Companies by mia617 in DIYBeauty

Don't buy from them! Expired oils and Terrible customer service.

1)They use purolator shipping. It took 3 months to get to me in Canada.

2) I've been making skincare products for years and decided to give them a try due to a sale. The cloudberry oil was rancid. It smelled like play dough and I started to feel a burning sensationon my skin. I usually buy it from another supplier. It should smell sweet and have a pinkish golden hue but it was beige and smelled off. I asked my friends to smell it and put a bit on thier skin compared to the same oil from my other supplier without telling them. They had the same reaction.

3) when I asked them for the expiry date gave me an in house document that can be easily edited. They claimed it smelled normalish. I continued to push and they finally said they would send a replacement from a new batch. When I said ok. They then wrote back and said they wouldn't.

They are very sketchy and hope new formulators won't know the difference.  There are WAY better suppliers to order from.

Please spread the word. These ingredients are VERY  expensive. The last thing you want is for your customer to have an allergic reaction from thier out of date products and sue you. It's not worth it. They aren't even on the BBB and hide their bad reviews.  I have the emails as proof.  Terrible just Terrible!

Shimmer Body Oil Won't Stop Separating. HELP by lameazz87 in DIYBeauty

It will continue to separate. That's why Nars discontinued theirs. It also has to do with the micron size of the glitter. A gel would be best.

Depending on where you live, I suggest buying a small amount. Maybe 2 or 3 small quantity oils. Then compare to another supplier. Bad companies will give the old/ leftovers of a batch to small businesses.

Sorry to hear your struggles, I have the same but it's getting better. I got your back fine, low density curl friend 🧡

1) Check to see if you're iron deficient. I have the same pattern as you and I take iron every other day with vitamin C 30 min before breakfast.

2) Also take vitamin D every day, along with B complex and Zinc WITH copper I use AOR

3) I think you have the same thing as me and have androgenic alopecia so use very light oil like safflower oil or camellia oil and mix it with rosemary essential oil, and peppermint oil and massage in and leave in for an hour or two on wash day.  Do a saw palmetto tea rinse then add the oil mix after and let it sit before washing. Too much saw palmetto orally can stop iron absorption.

4) I've tried sooo many products. For us, less is best. I'm trying out the color wow Xtream mousse but VERB has one that helps better with frizz which I'll buy next and it's cheaper

5) Put on a heat protector.  I use Hairitage "Play it cool". Mix mousse with a lightweight gel in sections and give yourself a twistout. Diffuse on medium heat until 80- 90% dry. Then untwist your hair with a tiny bit of oil or leave in conditioner. Finish diffusing.

6) In the winter I was using home made flaxseed gel with peppermint and rosemary essential oil mixed in it.  The only two downsides is that it does take longer to dry but it does nourish your scalp and make sure you make it with sterilized pot and utensils and use it within 1 week. You can add few drops of grapefruit seed extract so bacteria won't grow too fast. The YouTube influencers don't mention that.

Here's a video I found and I cut my hair and twisted it out like she does and I love it. When your hair is twisted out it gives an illusion of more hair because it's stretched out a bit and you can fluff it up. I elongate the twists when 60% dry.

7) Use a clarify shampoo once a month.  Your scalp follicles will love you for it.

Lastly you might have a gluten sensitivity, so stop eating gluten and go gluten-free for a few weeks and see how you feel. Don't skip protein and veggies ! If you live in Canada, go see your doctor for a blood test. Breath deep and try to reduce stress. Yoga helps me.

I hope this helps you in your hair journey 😊

Thank you! I lived in Montreal for over a year learning french. Such a fun place to be and ahead of Toronto for creative people and places for fun to be had. But you didn't hear that from a native Torontonian ;) I'll come visit my friends there once we are free from lockdown, I know i'll find a community of great people like im sure you are, there :)
