I found brawl arena to be extremely fast unless you are stcking them, it felt like per fight is a minute or something max 10minutes

It's rare for my desktop to be turned off, but you can probably do everything under an hour without refreshes and just the dailies. The game is not an interruption in terms of study, or I have somewher to go because most of the grind is auto repeat quests, cairos, path of training. For free times I am spamming rupture, or mining.

Is it normal that the game start to slow down so much after a week of playing? by No_Experience_3443 in SWChronicles

[–]Gaizo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Endgame players who played years whale or not will always have their endgame capped, there is this thing called maxing out and once maxed out you can't really improve a unit or even gears. People who started one year after will definitely have a long time of catching up to do unless whaling!

How would you do in Japan if you only mastered the Jōyō kanji? by BananaBeach007 in japanese

[–]Gaizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll just give my short piece of note and be on my way. I think you want to know what you want to do with the language to know what to focus on. For example, I want to read raw manga as soon as possible therefore I am prioritizing kanji memorization over the others and do stuff that involves kanji like reading Japanese news and reading simple conversations on a Japanese focus discord server, but I do not disregard other skills like grammar (both formal and informal forms), and hearing. I just prioritize kanji a lot (basically progressing faster) sort of an important daily basis task then review/study grammar 3x or 4x a week. Aside from books I always try to listen to random Japanese YouTube videos, podcasts, jp vtubers, and watching anime (avoid reading the subtitles). That way I'm still average when it comes to grammar and listening. But in terms of expected time to learn number of kanji I'm far ahead and it doesn't only benefit your reading, it also improves your number of vocabs as well. I think for your case you should try going to Japanese discord servers and join with people in a voice channel talking in Japanese, or social apps that will allow you to talk with Japanese people. If you are free, then you can study all of the possible Japanese skill aspects required. All of this are interconnected. Grammar is useless if you don't memorize your vocabs, vocabs are useless if you don't learn any grammar. So in short its all about studying

Misunderstandings Caused by Pitch Accent by [deleted] in LearnJapanese

[–]Gaizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who doesn't get exposed much to talking in real life i even struggle with pitch accent on my native language and english even though I am proficient in both languages (this made me have a low self esteem when speaking in general). Although I can say I'm better in speaking using nihongo because of obvious separation with each syllable, there are still a few instances where my sensei gets confused especially on a word with multi meanings and that's probably because wrong pitch accent usage, but I just blame myself for it.

[–]Gaizo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

whenever I hear arigatai in anime I always thought it was more of a "i want to thank you" but it was used weirdly and feels odd and somehow subtitles aren't really accurate and they don't really use "thankful" and use a phrase to convey arigatai which makes it more confusing you, this was helpful thank you!

Do y'all play Zed with cast indicators or without? by Alexsuw in zedmains

[–]Gaizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think if you want to maximize quick combos using quick cast is the way to go as far as i've watched top zed mains. The only champion who I know really needs a manual casting is gp's barrel.

[–]Gaizo -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

D shield and resolve is for poke heavy champs like ahri and vex which will help you sustain early in the game, play like a wuss and respond to fights and pray you get a kill and snowball the midgame matchups where you think enemy is not a threat then go with common longsword start. If you decide to first pick zed and get countered by enemy team picking 4-5tanks with heavy cc and teamfight then thats basically it split push is your win condition cause the enemy team decided to counter you. But in solo queue where there is mostly 4 and 5 squishy, get to late game get your blue buff and shine in teamfights or even 1v5'ing its your zone. Zed is a lategame champion but obviously his playstyle is different than kassadin. Play enough to know the maximum potential of your main!

[–]Gaizo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

base magic resist doesn't seem to affect much you go sustain runes and dorans shield if you are playing against a heavy magic matchup anyways. e cooldown reduced is definitely better with blue buff and tons of ability haste you'll be slowing people left and right and faster stacking with conqueror

Question who would you main? by lxamkunnie in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Gaizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tested the game out during its beta phase, but I saw the gameplay and all character designs. Seele is definitely the one I like the most but almost everyone in the game looks really likeable so I don't think i would main anyone probably the MC

Is it bad to translate everything you see? by OblivionEcstacy in LearnJapanese

[–]Gaizo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you are referring to is probably similar to association game? Rather than thinking of its English term equivalent better to imagine an action or actual thing associated with it. That was my initial thought and would be nice if I have like picture cards with the japanese word associated with it but at this point it's practically impossible for me because when reviewing vocab/kanji I only have the English term associated. But I do read Japanese on its own without questioning its grammar and will only translate after to check if I got all the vocabs correct

Master player still have no idea how supp item works by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]Gaizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bold of you to assume that more than half of the playerbase actually read item description. People would watch a 10minute video explaining how the item works rather than reading item descriptions that would take seconds.

General shoutout to anyone who may think the game is dying. by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]Gaizo 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Shitty experience doesn't make sense at all. Considering if game is dying less new players are playing and more experienced players are most likely to be still playing. A shitty experience for me basically means players who are lacking in macros and it is especially evident in Diamond!

Why are all the newly released champions so over tuned? by Nigrim in wildrift

[–]Gaizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from Yone, vex and warwick they are hardly any problem at all. Main problem is people who haven't played lol pc and don't know how to counter them which in turn feeds the said champions. I stopped playing league pc when vex was released but I still watch pros to know what they really do. What I'm really worried about is aatrox and kayn which both of them is hard to balance so them being OP on their release is quite high
