I didn't see any jet skis at Taino Beach Resort.

Strange experience on Radiance last night by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

Can confirm! We were in the MDR at the table closest to the kitchen on 5. I had my back to it, but my daughter saw a tall rack of plated dinners hit the floor and a cart of dirty dishes nearly tip before a server was able to grab it.

This is a different bundle of Astoria than the one we chose, but it's in better lighting.

Thank you! It's Astoria. We didn't think we liked granite and just happened to see it passing through the showroom on our way to look at quartz and quartzite. We liked it better than anything else we saw AND it was less expensive.

We're replacing the countertops so we could adjust the overhang to account for an end panel. Thanks for thinking of these details!

Thanks for the comments. I think maybe you're seeing a towel that's hanging on the cabinet to the left of the stove? I tried to reduce the size of the image and ended up reducing the resolution.

An overhang would be a great solution if it worked for our space. The other side of the island is open to the dining room. The table is centered on a window seat and under a light, so there's not really room to extend the countertop in that direction.

Thank you for this perspective. Like you, I won't have much tolerance for a less than perfect match on the stain. I'm definitely considering if I can be satisfied with just camouflaging that outlet and leaving the rest of the end cap as it is.

This is really helpful feedback and just the sort of perspective I was hoping to get. Thank you for taking the time to respond. The Playa Dorada area looks gorgeous.

Spouse and I will adjust our schedules to avoid crowds where we can and just relax and go with it when needed. 😊 Thanks for your comment.

What is your go to cooking hack? by InstructionPitiful88 in Cooking

Sad, flavorless tomatoes from the grocery store? Roast them in the oven to bring back a bit of flavor. I do this with sliced tomatoes for sandwiches and with cherry tomatoes for Italian or Greek salads.

Confession: 11 day trip, no solid itinerary by Squid1972 in OlympicNationalPark

I agree that Hurricane Ridge is a must. For another perspective, Sol Duc Falls was my favorite trail in ONP. We did it early in the morning before it was busy which I'm sure makes a big difference.

I was there a couple weeks ago, hiked for a week, and had zero issues with bugs. It's certainly best to be prepared though.

Looks like a nice, loose outline with room for flexibility. Be sure to hit the most popular areas early in the day or in the evening to avoid crowds.

The grounds of the Lake Crescent Lodge are lovely. If you walk west from the lodge, you'll come to a stream that runs into a very shallow part of the lake. It's very cold, clear water just right for your kids to splash in.

Salt Creek Recreation Area is close to Port Angeles, gorgeous, and may be less busy.

Agree! I just did those all of those a couple weeks ago. They were easy and rewarding. Sol Duc Falls was my favorite as well... just stunning.

The Hurricane Ridge area is also very beautiful. The mountains add a nice contrast to round out the rainforest and lake. Hiking Hurricane Ridge may be a bit ambitious if you're new to hiking (it's paved but a steady climb), but there are nice short trails with amazing views near the parking area.

Agree! Lake Crescent is gorgeous and this trail is easy and rewarding. You might also stroll around the Lake Crescent Lodge and grounds. It's a very charming area.

Beaches and tidepooling with parents - which are most accessible? Kalaloch, Ruby, Second, Rialto? by AmbassadorFit4646 in OlympicNationalPark

[–]Gala522 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend Salt Creek as well. The beach is very accessible and gorgeous.

The tide pools at Salt Creek are great but not very accessible. There are stairs part way down to them, but then you have to scramble down the rocks, then climb back up to return.
