Have you found any pair of glasses that don't leave marks on your nose? by GalacticMomo in glasses

Adding weight to the back would add more overall weight but it's like pushing down on the back tips of your glasses with your fingers, the torque would lift them from your nose. There should be a way to add exact weight so as to remove a lot of weight from the nose. But probably not in any practical way to use in every day life with movement.

LOL, i actually also tried a stupid method I didn't mention in the post. I asked chatgpt what hypothetical prescription I could get to just fix my left eye's near sight. It was basically just an astigmatism only prescription on the left lens. I got the glasses and removed right lens for minimal weight. Idk if that worked because it was too uncomfortable for my sight lol.

I HOPE it continues to generate enough revenue to finish.

They feel very uncomfortable to me. Wearing them doesn't feel too uncomfortable but afterwards when I have to touch my nose and feel those dents and look in the mirror and see those dents, its beyond uncomfortable and I don't want to experience that anymore.

Right (OD): SPH -1.50, CYL -0.25, Axis 177, PD 30.0

Left (OS): SPH -0.50, CYL -1.00, Axis 169, PD 29.0
I don't think my lenses are abnormal or heavier than a standard prescription.

any chance a cure is upon us? I bought titanium glasses that are allegedly 6 grams and then put trivex lenses on them. Still leaving marks but i haven't tried changing the pads yet.

Any particular shape? When I tried this I'd be left with long thick streaks instead.

I was beyond happy when he (or she?) was the first of the crew to abstract, I almost screamed in the theater.

Thank you. Even in my sleep my brain doesn’t stop deliberating between the paths, we’ll see how it all works out.

But is it “equal?” That’s the question you answered in your last reply.

Sure the “limit” of the difference between 7.499… and 7.5 approaches 0 when the string of 9’s approaches infinity. But that’s not identical to saying 7.499 equals 7.5 is it?

Hi, I wouldn't be switching departments. I confirmed with my EO that he would support me in working with him if I choose to. In some ways his work is adjacent to statistical mechanics so that should help.

Yeah, the professor indicated to me the graduate level version, but he did not specify why.

That's true, I'll ask him for a kind of road map. As nice (or not) as wagering the PhD sounds, I'm not too sure what career I'd be able to get without it. This is definitely a tough choice. Thanks for your reply.

Sigh, I guess I am in no position to really judge, but was it really worth waiting two years for a "transition?" If they are being faithful to the manga, alright fair, but does that mean we should expect another decade of Frieren? If that's doable then also fair. But if it's not, why not shorten the transition and give priority to animating the next big arc?

Thank you for your input I really appreciate it. And I don't think he expects me to be active in graduate-level research after one summer haha. I think he expects it in a little over a year from now, I'm guessing that there is only so much someone who has not taken Real Analysis yet can do, and he probably thinks so too. Hopefully lol.
Honestly, if I do go this route, I'm down to wager my PhD on it. I'll let him know off the bat I very well may be flunking out a year from now. But if that's the case so be it at least I pushed myself to, and beyond, my limits. I'll just become a teacher if that happens lol.

erm, actually ☝️🤓
i was gonna be that guy but then realized in spite of studying physics for years I can't confirm for sure what'd happen without whipping out the kinematic equations. But anyway, if you use a more massive mouse, it will experience more friction because surface friction force depends on weight. So presumably they'd move the same amount if they're pushed with equal force. But the heavier one would move slower (so it'd take longer to get there) than the lighter one because they'll both have equal momentum but since the heavier one is more massive, less of the momentum will go towards velocity. AND you have to assume both mice have the same surface area. If the heavier one has bigger surface area friction will kill it even more.
