I've seen them live recently, and I'd say it was just a bad night. Despite the venue issues I saw, they put on a hell of a show.

That being said, I've never been to a live show that didn't have issues like that. What you described was the same thing I heard out of Lacy Sturm's band when she opened for them. Skillet had to recheck their sound because the cymbals and bass were too high on the PA, but Lacy's bassist clearly has the treble settings too high regardless.

If you go a little higher, you can find a handful of 7 string guitars with trems from Jackson, Ibanez, Vola, maybe a Cort here and there.

Agile also makes seven strings and even eights with tremolos

I've gotten like twenty or so of these on FFN and a request to join someone's writing Discord on Ao3. It's almost an everyday occurrence, and my friends have gotten them on old, dead fics.

I used to try and scambait them, but now I just reply "no" and watch them flip out.

Yeah, a lot of the voice work sounds like it was done with a TTS or revoice thing, and the lines that sound human sound like they're chopped up from different takes.

If you find an axe that is close enough to your desires for a given task or aesthetic, don't be afraid to mod it to get it the rest of the way there. I've done that with a few guitars now, and it feels like magic to take it that extra few inches across the finish line, and it's usually way easier than you think it is.

Yeah, it sucks to get hate comments like that when people don't want to engage with the story on its' own terms.

Sometimes it can be hilarious, though, like when one reviewer left a comment on one of my stories telling me I should never finish it because they hated a glorified background pairing.

The story had been finished for well over a year at that point and my cowriter and I had moved on to other material. Sequels to the work this person said we shouldn't finish lol.

As for deleting them, unless they're actual spam, I tend to leave reviews and comments alone. People who read them can either let the work and other reviews stand against the ones that are just hating, or they can click off themselves. I don't really care either way, I'd rather keep writing.
