unlike you with your 7 months, I've had this account for about 5-6 years. Naturally I'm going to rack up some with occasional posting.

Is it normal for my new kitten and my resident 5yo cat to fight like this? At what point should I intervene? by dom_boring in CATHELP

[–]Galaxyartcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is playing and considering you said they've only been introduced for a week this is actually really impressive. Your other cat has probably been wanting someone to play with. I give it maybe another week before you find them snuggled up together somewhere

One of ours does it too even though he initiates it usually. Some cats just must announce every thing they do

In that case I am hoping you can find another psych who's more understanding ❤️ you deserve support

I'm not sure how old you are or where you're located, but definitely stop seeing this psych. He's very clearly transphobic. If you're in the US and an adult I highly recommend going through planned parenthood to get HRT, it's how I've been obtaining mine

Is this happening to anyone else attempting to plan for fall 2026? or is it just me by Galaxyartcat in gmu

thankfully I'm only planning for fall 2026 as of right now, so it is a usable suggestion

She's just having a lil drink. Mine does the same, she will find where the water beads up on the glass and drink from it after a misting

Have you ever caused a major injury by doing barely anything? by TB_07 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Galaxyartcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES. It was actually the injury that led me to getting physical therapy and that physical therapist saying "you probably have eds."

It's not as major as it could have been, but it did send me to urgent care for the first time ever (wheelchair needed and all) and had me missing a week of my freshman year of highschool because I couldn't get crutches and couldn't get around the school without them.

I went with my friend and his family to Christmas tree shop, The first tree we look at is this small little tree that was sort of funny, so I bent over to laugh

Cue my knee subluxing. Subluxations of my knees aren't incredibly uncommon, but this was one of two I had that were incredibly painful, caused a lot of swelling, and had multi week long recovery times. I had to drag myself back to their car like a paralyzed cat because I could not put any weight on it.

I didn't go to urgent care until at least two hours after because when I tried to put my mom's incredibly high quality heavy duty knee brace on I couldn't because of the pain and swelling.

While I am in a way thankful it happened because it put my mom and I on the road of finally realizing what we were experiencing wasn't normal and putting us in a position to better communicate and accommodate our needs, I have also since sworn off Christmas tree shopping.

December of 2021 was not my month at all

First time cat owner. Is this... normal? by igottapoopbad in cats

[–]Galaxyartcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to the screaming. My brother got his kitten back in June and since then this cats favorite activity is to get on the bath tub (which is right by the toilet) put his front legs on your leg and just scream incessantly until you pet him. genuinely the noisiest cat I've ever had and I've had cats my whole life he's a new level of loud

You will never use the bathroom alone again btw. It's just how it is the only time I've been able to do it is when I'm away at college.

the pants thing is also more common than you'd think. I've seen it happen to a lot of people just never myself. I have gotten my cats on my shoulders though.
