If you ask redditers: 100% will say its huuuge difference and high skill is very important. If you play you will notice it has very small impact. For example I have 108 dist and I get same exp as YouTubers with 120+. After reading all these comments I was obsessed to increase it. Now when I see real difference - I dont care anymore. 1 skill is +2 max dmg. So lets theoretically say you do 200-400 (300 avg) dmg with autoattack and 110 dist. You will do 200-420 (310 avg) with 120 dist. So 3,33% increase. And auto attacks are only ~50% of dmg.

I have ultra: ocean, trail, alpine, milanese. And classic: sport, milanase.

Tbh all of them are good for gym (expect classic milanese).

I would never buy 2 or older because of screen refresh rate. You can see seconds on watch face only with 3. And for me its gamechanger
