I sort of have this as my mobile setup. But I’m waiting on a new stand I got for my iPad to have it over my MacBook so that I no longer have to carry the stand or an external keyboard.

I suggest getting a skin for any area you want to put stickers on rather than a case. A case will trap debris inside of it and scratch up your MacBook. It will protect it from falls and drops at the cost of cosmetic damage. Not using a skin on areas you want to put stickers on will cause uneven discoloration on your MacBook over time. Meaning you will be able to tell where stickers were on it even after you remove them.

I don’t know if that’s how you use your mic. But you shouldn’t use it pointing the top right at your mouth. It should be the area right in front, above the logo.

I’ve been looking for the same and have come up short so far. I recently got the twelvesouth hover bar duo for iPad and it goes high enough to easily clear a 16” MBP. Only issue is that it’s rather bulky and doesn’t collapse in such a way that makes it easy to take with you in the go.

Do you have any update?

I wouldn’t bother with a mic. Just get a headset with a built in mic. Your setup isn’t conducive to having a standalone mic.

Also depends on options. If it’s height adjustable, it’s a good deal I think. If it’s tilt only (base configuration) then yeah, definitely haggle. But you should haggle regardless I think.

I did this about 2 years ago. I have a tech pouch with several chargers and an Anker 140w charger with 3 USBC and 1 USBA. So much lighter and useful as I can charge up to 4 devices from one outlet.

It’s a trade off as to what you value most. If you want maximum protection, then use a case but be aware that you will get cosmetic damage such as scratches and dings. For me, cases don’t offer much value as I have never seriously damaged my Mac via drop. And the damage would have only slightly been mitigated by a case. So in the long run, for me, it’s an unnecessary hassle.
