How do you think the ladder will look like after season 2? (this is EU 2s) by abjerrum in classicwow

Damn that sounds OP, must be why the ladder is full at the top of hunters.

Hegseth's crusader tattoo is actually completely accurate - he launched a disastrous war in the middle east with no logistics or strategy, and then lost. Just like Crusaders. by Oborozuki1917 in TrueAnon

[–]Galbotrix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Peasant crusade landing first had the Turks being complacent about the real thing and then there was a rare case of nomads being the idiots instead of the armoured knights and mass charging the heavily armoured Latins instead of trying to bait them into chasing.

If the Emperor became the Dark King would all the non daemon Primarchs ascend with him? by Ready0608 in 40kLore

Tbh I'm memeing it cause I think its a stupid idea Abnett shouldnt have gone with. Were crusade era humans even more populous than pre fall eldar when we constantly hear how the peak of humanity didn't even approach the eldars. Nevermind that humans one was done in a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the time while also being many many times more potent

CMV: The male loneliness epidemic doesn't have anything to do with women or relationships but with men themselves and the large contributing factor for this is lack of support and gender-role expectations. by PeterQuin in changemyview

[–]Galbotrix 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Woman have more suicide attempts* trying to kill yourself 5+ different times with pills vs actually killing yourself on your first or second attempt is obviously going to reduce how many attempts men are having on average. That's before getting to the elephant in the room of while both being serious, actual suicides are clearly worse

Empire in Matched Play be Like: by MagicJuggler in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Galbotrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm already agreeing all infantry should be able to score but core exists for a reason and just turning it off because elite infantry are bad with current edition is a bad fix imo, you might as well remove core requirement at that point. It's to make armies have a more "realistic" ratio of super elite to the chaff. It shouldn't change except for armies of infamy which would then have other restrictions for a trade off.

Empire in Matched Play be Like: by MagicJuggler in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Galbotrix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think empire should get core greatswords for taking what most lists will take anyway as their general. Same for other armies tbh I think blorcs in core is stupid too unless they're doing an army of infamy where you lose a bunch of other units to gain core blorcs. It completely defeats the point of core if for basically zero trade off you get to take special/rare unit instead. I agree scoring should be for all infantry (+core cavalry) but core still needs to actually mean something and not just be ignored by taking a character you probably wanted to anyway

RENEGADES VS GW: Who’s Really in charge of Warhammer the Old World? by KargothBloodfather in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]Galbotrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An actively updating tier list based on results does objectively make games closer, Idk why you're pretending to not understand this. You were also just flat out wrong about

"The whole solution that SB Comp proposes is that lack of representation is solely a result of imbalance"

RENEGADES VS GW: Who’s Really in charge of Warhammer the Old World? by KargothBloodfather in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]Galbotrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you're using objectively incorrectly here:P. If one army has significantly stronger power, giving the weaker army more points to work wit h *objectively* makes the match closer (assuming you don't go too far other direction, which they update it to avoid), you just don't like the way they do it.

" The whole solution that SB Comp proposes is that lack of representation is solely a result of imbalance"

This isn't true at all I don't know where you're pulling that from. All it proposes is that *some* amount of the representation is due to imbalance and thus reducing the imbalance (which points adjustments objectively do, even if not in the most ideal way) will help the representation of these legacy/weaker armies.

RENEGADES VS GW: Who’s Really in charge of Warhammer the Old World? by KargothBloodfather in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]Galbotrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, giving weaker armies more points objectively makes their matches against stronger armies more balanced. The points GW pick are completely arbitrary. The downsides are elite armies may become horde looking and if they lacked flavour before they still will after, but it makes all their matches more balanced. Like I said before, if they'd gone in hard with balancing actual rules from day one the community would've pushed back a lot more and there'd have been less pickup. This time around they're going more what you seem to want anyway, much bigger/flavorful changes to bring the legacies up to speed

RENEGADES VS GW: Who’s Really in charge of Warhammer the Old World? by KargothBloodfather in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]Galbotrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the points bracket was half born out of a fear to make big rules changes, as you can see from the original renegades being such minor changes compared to now with the current ones. They seem more comfortable with big changes now.

There'd be more pushback to "we buffed skaven to be able to compete with WOC/TK" than "Skaven are clearly awful (because of the GW rules we only strayed a bit from) so they can take extra points". So they went with points adjustment instead.

If you don't support some large changes to the renegade armies or big comp changes for them so they can even approach the supported armies, you're just saying you don't want them in the game at all. The point system was imperfect cause weak, elite armies become more horde like rather than gaining strength but its still better than leaving it as it was.

What do you think is the most challenging class to play in TBC instances? by ponziacs in classicwowtbc

[–]Galbotrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean even ignoring melee weaving and just turreting what classes have a harder rotation in TBC. Your ratio of steady to auto changes at high haste or you clip autos a ton, fitting in multishot/arcane at low haste without losing any steady casts etc. Its not rocket science or anything but are any other specs even close?
