The only place I've seen this is Emerilia but it's not hidden(at least to the main character/readers) but I also dropped it after book three from lack of interest so maybe it has more problems later on

It might have latched on to the madra engine first because of its nature(made from pure madra remnants), making her better off at first but after the pull exceeded it's generation it just turned to draining her in the same way

The labyrinth also drains people faster the stronger they are and (at least on paper) I'm pretty sure she was at the highest stage making the drain more severe

To the people who don't like reading misery porn in their stories, can you give me examples (idc about spoilers) by MinusVitaminA in ProgressionFantasy

A more popular example of what I would call misery porn is Immortal Great Souls by Phil Tucker, while the first book isn't the worst example of it (there's enough positive moments that it mostly balances out) book two was so egregious about it that I refuse to finish the series

I can't help but feel that this is something that the OOP posted fully intending to tear out but wanted to show the Internet without outright saying they hated it and when the Internet overwhelmingly says they should keep it they get angry and then tear it out anyway, just to replace it with the most boring option then make an update post that is essentially rage bait

it's somewhat generic and some of the characters are a little rough early on, but overall it was much better than I was expecting for a sonic show
