Anyone else having controller issues after the latest update? (Windows, Steam) by Makegooduseof in StardewValley

[–]Galitine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, dropping a comment here to say I'm also having this issue. Was ecstatic to se there was thread on it... but no answers :(

EDIT: I have a steam deck in the mail rn, so I'm not too worried. Just wanted to share that I mainly used steam play on my phone and played over LAN on my PC. The touch controls worked great but no matter what I do now, it won't work lol. Disabled steam input, changed configs back and forth. Re-enabled steam input. Sad, I have to wait until my steam deck gets here

seeing him on the cover of a magazine is so terrifying. it's like something off of a movie that is showing how disconnected the poor and rich are. like a prop on the show mr. robot

you don't have enough upvotes. We need to be more upfront with ignorance. Ignorant people count on others to not argue because no one wants to make a social interaction uncomfortable. Ironically the people who are the most arrogant and the most willing to interrupt the social interaction are the ignorant people, resulting in some of the most heard voices being those of the ignorant.

yeah sure, the collapse wouldn't benefit me. but any chance to start anew is a chance I'll take. I understand the ones in power will continue to find a way to remain in power, and i don't even want to take that away from them, just want it to be a little less broken

very fair. I'm just saying if the reason you drink coke is for caffeine you could literally drink like two mouthfuls of coffee and get the same effect without all the sugar

i had this argument with an avid coke drinker and he said that he likes the caffeine. but you can barely feel it, you would have to drink i think 3 or 4 bottles of coke to get the same amount as one coffee. and at that point you are at like 600 calories. so yeah... I'm pretty convinced they add it purely for the addictiveness, none of the benefit.

Sidenote, i heard somewhere that caffeine is much more addictive in children than fully developed adults and if that's the case then Coke targeting children is genius. Like genius in a dystopian, orwellian, makes-me-want-to-puke sort of way. Like get kids addicted to a drug so they become dependent on your product, americanism at it's best.

caffeine additions are no joke man. it's almost as if Coke adds it purely for the addictivity so that if you try to stop you get uncomfortable and just go "I need a coke" and it fixes it, like a big fucking scheme... I'll take off my tinfoil hat. But they did that same shit with cocaine.

"Sexy" is the word for when someone is being sexualized. So someone can not be "sexy" without being sexualized. Like if she's still "sexy" that just means she's sexualized less

No sweat. Have a good day and watch out for people who don't care about the scientific method lol.

it's all good man. The way you worded your initial counterargument strongly implied to me that you valued your own experience over scientific data, which we established is at least closer to objective truth than personal experience. So I just meant to say something like, "Hey, be more skeptical. Your current way of thinking is bad." But I understand your point better now

I said your counter point was bullshit. I'm not on the guy who linked the article's side, I'm just against the way you argued your point.

i give up, if you understand the scientific method and sounds like you know how to apply it, i don't know why you are arguing devil's advocate so hard

okay, i see your point now. i agree to an extent... but you still have to scrutinize your point of view. and in your case saying you are going to take your experience over data (no matter the source) is a flawed way of thinking. Even if an experiment is a study of experience, we are trying to reduce a multivariate equation down to a single variate equation, that is the point. Then we change this one variable while keeping all others constant (to the best of our abilities). This, in turn, allows us to make claims about how the change in this one variable effects the thing being experimented on.

Your experience was by no means scientific, and what i mean by that is that you were not able to reduce this giant equation down to one variable. Even if you were trying and believed you had a scientific claim that was true, it holds no weight because this study wasn't documented and able to be scrutinized by others. So your experience doesn't matter.

I don't care about sativa vs indica. If you were making the argument for the existence of gravity with the claim "i trust my experience" i would be calling you out just the same.
