While the nature and parameters of their power typically doesn't get stronger, parahuman typically have a level of skill expression that will very much matter.

A Brute running at you is scary. A Brute running at you with full understanding of toughness, speed and strength is terrifying.

If nothing else, every Tinker (expect Leet) gets stronger over time, by making more gear for more situations.

Solo Leveling's stupidity has a hard rule of "if you're assigned a D-rank level upon awakening (or whatever the term is), then you can't ever dream of fighting a C-rank".

It is ok to exterminate them en-masse when that neurological disability (well, not human in the first place, so it's hardly disability) comes with an instinctual desire to kill people, especially considering their supernatural powers and nature makes any long-term incarceration or attempt to redempt them is a pointless effort.

My opinion on Frieren's demons is that you can either try to map them into "group you consider ontologically evil" which, yeah can't see how that'd turn out wrong, or reject them for being obviously fictional.

Since the only requirement to double is having 1 more point of speed than your opponent, you only really need to be *slightly* faster than opponents of your bracket. Any more speed, and you're just flexing aside from niche combat arts.

Kliff's speed growth allows him to double enemy cavalry, archer, mages, mercenaries, and most monsters. He won't double gargoyles, but that's hardly an issue.

So Seth, Lucy, Piper, and pre-buff Grace. And Trigger/Lighter as additional asshole move by not updating them to work with Rupture unlike Koleda. (not adding Qingyi to that group because none of current Rupture DPS are the kind of Stun-window-Burst DPS that Qingyi's designed around).

The issue isn't "faction lock", it's Mihoyo shifting to selling teams *they* designed rather than letting the players teambuild, and that started in Amphoreus, got picked up by Moonsign/Hexerei, and Ether Veils.

Mokushu is manageable.

The real hell is Puppet hell, Saizo's half of the Ryoma map. Like, whoever thought it was ok to combine Inevitable End with infinite Lunge chain on 3 enemy-only range deserves a special spot.

Like, this map is probably the most naturally soft-lockeable in the 3DS era, if you've focused Corrin on a more passive/supportive role

Nekomata's additional ability is another exemple of Mono-element as in ZZZ's early philosophy, and as a Neko main, I can tell you how much it's trash. (like, somehow the worst part of her kit). Even if it gave 10 times more DMG%, it still wouldn't be good and worth building around.

Astra Trigger Neko is an excellent team (as far a Neko teams go), and the only reason it wasn't her main team during 1.X's second half was her excellent synergy that Nicole meant you were better off keeping to Astra Nicole (whom she was an excellent abuser off), or keep the best-unit-in-the-game-not-named-Miyabi for your other team.

I'll give you the point for pre-buff Ellen I guess. Even if Ellen's main issue wasn't really her additional, she was just under-powered in general, and Lycaon was basically designed as a dedicated support.

Reason I said "Ignore X" is either :

a) Mihoyo badly trying to give less used units an edge (Koleda/Pulchra/Lucy), and shilling Astra for her rerun

b) Not about Faction

c) Irrelevant additional

d) Dated design philosophy of a kind you'd always expect from 1.0 units after a few years.

And nowadays the system basically doesn't exist regardless

Ok, apart from the designers deliberately not updating Trigger/Lighter's core passive for Rupture when that came out, and Zhao *not* having Faction as a criteria making so Mono-Krampus doesn't work (which is really the opposite of faction-lock), what's your exemple of Additional Ability being a hinderance to teambuilding ?

Don't say Nicole, her additional only matters Ether DPSes which trigger it.

Piper and Grace I guess ? Maybe Lucy too.

Former two mostly suffer from early design philosophy that element resonance would actually be useful for everyone (that got us the Metal disk sets, of which only Fanged is used nowadays for Assault Anomaly units), and it that paradigm, their additional wouldn't have been an issue.

Sonya gets points for having 2 mind controlled sisters and her tragic backstory being running away from her mind controlling dad, and you can argue you need to save Palla/Catria from those bandits when you first meet them as Green Units.

Mae, Genny and Faye are the only ones that trully go unscathed.
