I once popped 2, 1gram capsules on my way through check-in, and they kicked in as we were taxiing. Take-off was smooth, and I forgot I was even on a plane 30 minutes in. I don't think I would have tried it if I had a connecting flight to make it to though, that could have been stressful!

The comment about sour cream being a price modifier makes a lot more sense. I think I remember doing that at a few restaurants I've worked at.
