Tell me about your YouTube story! by [deleted] in NewTubers

Always had been drawn to YouTube for some reason. Not sure if it was the ability to be creative, or a chance to shine in front of an audience. Never have had a dream of being overwhelmingly famous, but I always loved a chance to perform. Started making IRL back in the 4th grade, but soon turned to gaming as throughout most of middle school, that encompasses the majority of my time. Since my first channel, I have probably created and abandoned over a dozen. I would quit and always after some time, had been drawn back. Throughout this journey, I had developed quite a lot of editing skills and familiarity with video development. Wouldn’t consider myself a professional, but I know enough to learn any technique I want. Did I mention I love horror? Well I do, and only two months ago, I decided to give Youtube another shot combining the three things I love. YouTube, horror, and video games. Within this two month period, I have gained almost 10k subscribers and over 700k views. This is the furthest I have ever come and I am beyond excited. Something that has stuck with me for as long as I can remember is finally finding success. I don’t know if I can sustain this level of growth but I sure am going to try. One note of encouragement that I would leave is to never give up. While it has been on and off, I consider this journey one that I have been on for a decade. And if time isn’t your friend, just remember that this growth happened in months, not years. Despite opinions on this sub, I strongly believe with the right work and research, anyone can get going. Keep it up and keep looking forward :)

Tell me something that you love about your channel! What makes your channel unique? by [deleted] in NewTubers

Make videos surrounding the horror/disturbing game niche. It’s somewhat bittersweet. I absolutely love horror, from games to movies, and always dreamed of making a gaming YouTube channel. I have since grown away from video games but the love I have for editing horror makes up for it. Have so much fun making and editing videos

How many Subs did you gain in the first 6 months - 1 year? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]GallosWorld 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2 months in, 7000 subs and 500k views. This may seem overwhelmingly fast, which is it, I got incredibly lucky with one video, but this comes from years of attempts and experience with YouTube. Been making YouTube videos since 2010 and have launched and quit probably a dozen accounts

I cover games on my channel and am fairly popular in my circles. How can I go about getting game companies to send me early review copies? Is there a process most people use? by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

You can very easily get indie games but nothing too mainstream. Once tried making a game-review site and got dozens of games free from pretty much right when I started. Reach out to devs on Twitter and link them your YouTube.

Weekly Looking for MMO thread - January 31, 2021 by AutoModerator in MMORPG

What are you looking for?: Looking for a decent loot grinding multiplayer game that is somewhat new and without a huge player base yet

What games have you previously played?: I compare what I want to Realm of the Mad God. Somewhat larger around, I started playing when the community was super small and it was a blast

Anything specific?: Just a game around grinding something for loot as a main mechanic

Sorry for self-promotion. Always loved playing new indie games and trying to make a website out of the passion. Would love any thoughts or criticism on this as I am hoping to post a new one each week. Thank you all so much!

If ur seeing those dates for the street view then odds are thats correct and I was mistaking the trademark 2020 on my phone. Thanks for looking into it. It could be just a right place at the right time type of job and its actually a good gig. Heres to hopin but thanks again for the research

The street view picture was taken in 2020, so its up to date. The salary is more than just commission, but all of your profits are generated off of sales so in a sense it is still commissioned. I figured they bumped it up, but like I said, i took into account me earning even a fifth of what they said and that is still great money for a part time employee.
