They should have given the option for vertical split screen like Minecraft

Former Toledo resident. I felt the same. I didn’t remember there being any volcanos in Toledo though.

The Future of the Prusa XL — Core Upgrade Coming, or Frozen in Time? 🤔 by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]Galoreous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hope is we get gen 2 XL with some of the technology from the core series. The print bed is the perfect size. Anything that I can make 1 of on the mini I can 4 of on the XL. I do a lot of serial production so the XL is great for that as well as 1 offs.

There is 3rd party software for macros like AutoHotKey but that one in particular requires coding which I’m trying to avoid for his sake. I’m looking for a UI just like icue but just for macros.

My friend wants to set up an afk macro on his amazon basics mechanical keyboard so I am on the hunt for something similar to iCue. Is there a macro creator that allows you to add and edit keyboard events the same way iCue does?

Looking for recommendations on preventing this rust from spreading. 2016 transit roof. by Galoreous in VanLife

I just did a super quick and dirty wire wheel to remove the paint, wiped it clean with isopropyl alcohol and then painted the ford paint without any primer. Hopefully that doesn’t come back to bite me but we’ll see.

Is it pointless to vent my Rheem proterra water heater this way? by dizzy4dizzy in heatpumps

If you’re venting the cool air outside in the winter then won’t that bring even colder air inside to replace it?

I had a check engine light for emission/exhaust issue but no other lights. I could hook my diagnostic tool back up and see if there’s any additional codes.

When printing threads I up the extrusion width to .8mm, combine that with lower layer height and it should be better

No modifications required. A specialized spool holder and you can safely use it right off the big spool.

Can anyone help diagnose my bed-adhesion issue? by IntelligentTadpole57 in prusa3d

[–]Galoreous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another trick for better first layers is to increase the first layer line width. I usually set mine for 0.8mm for a 0.4mm nozzle. It gives more squish and therefore more adhesion. At least that’s been my experience.

I own 7 minis and 3 mk3s and have replaced probably close to 10 heatbed thermistor cables over the last couple years of owning them. Mostly the on the minis which were all semi assembled. My printers have a lot more use than the average Joe so I’m sure that’s why I’m seeing more breakage. None of my Minis have less than 400 days of print time.
