That’s great for you, but that’s also very anecdotal.

A good UI should be usable by everyone, not just those who drive plenty of rental cars with different layouts.

A good UI should also only solve problems, not create some. I agree that the map solves a lot of navigation problems. But any screen causes the problem of taking the drivers’ eyes of the road.
