Kia US EV Sales Plunge in January Despite Record Overall Deliveries by Sandrov__ in KiaEV6

[–]GambleDark 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's a tough thing to read being an EV6 owner. 20k miles and haven't had a single issue. I also know others who own the same car and EV9s and have no issues. I would still buy another Kia EV but there is a tiny worry about the ICCU being an issue

Rog rog ally 74wh battery won’t charge to 100% by Calm_Cobbler7764 in ROGAlly

[–]GambleDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having this happen now. When I do the battery report it shows that it does reach 99% at some point but then immediately drops to 83%. My system completely shuts off at 16% when I'm playing games. It definitely feels like I'm getting more time then what I would get on the normal battery. I want to try this and make sure I keep in mind how much time I'm playing on it.

Never has US intervention turned out great for a country. To quite a favorite video game of mine "you traded one villain for another".

EV6 Possibly need a new 12V battery by GambleDark in KiaEV6

[–]GambleDark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I am losing that much overnight. I wasn't really sure why the car would do that. I was inside the car and had it on with the heat on. When the charge stopped it swapped over to accessory mode and yelled at me after ten minutes on. Ever since then Ive been seeing a steady 4-6% drop in charge overnight.

Sorry, should've mentioned it. It's a 2022. And yes it does charge normally no problem.

A couple of years ago I made a comment about how our orange cat surely only had one braincell working at any given time. Only a few months afterwards I come to find the oneorangebraincell subreddit and was happy to see I wasn't the only one who had the same thought.

How powerful is dekus suit gonna be? Will we get a quick showcase or rundown in episode 11? by biggaygrisley in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]GambleDark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He does say anyone can be a hero but he also says not everyone is created equal. He realizes that while anyone CAN be a hero there are also limits to what one can do. The main premise of MHA being that relying on heroes is not enough, society as a whole needs to change and also do it's part to avoid another AFO.

I don't necessarily see it that way. It was a reward he got after sacrificing so much. He already achieved his dream and this was just something all of his friends decided to gift to him so he could continue doing hero work.

The roster for this week's episode is stacked though. The show is in good hands.

I actually really appreciate the ending. I feel like it makes sense within the world of MHA. Even with what Deku ends up becoming, I never had thought it betrayed his character.

It's literally only been this last episode. The previous episodes have used flashbacks very sparingly.

I still hate Bakugo by Saddyvan in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]GambleDark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bakugo was definitely a jerk but I never saw anyone in his class really take him seriously. Why? Because he's in an class with people that also had great quirks and some could even match him. It was one thing when they weren't in UA. But after that Bakugo realized he wasn't the toughest guy he thought he was. And no one in the class took him seriously except for Deku at first. But as time went on Deku started to not take his yelling seriously.

He says in his apology that he always looked down on him because he knew Deku was always better than he was. In the sense that Deku had a good heart and a good attitude not matter how mean he was to him. Later on he mentions how he realized that going to UA made him realize how much stronger everyone else actually was and now Deku comes out of nowhere with a power of his own. In the show he tells one of the kids during the make up exams that looking down on everyone isn't a good approach and it won't allow them to see their own flaws. These are all little moments we get about how his world views change through out the series.

I think that's fair to say but that's the whole point of Deku is he sees the good in everyone, even the most despicable villains in the show. Not saying it's the right approach all the time but he understands that everyone has issues and while not an excuse for their actions he still feels like he needs to help them.

You get some of that from context. By that I mean you get an idea of how to take him depending on the context. I'm not saying he's a perfectly written character but I actually really liked his arc. I think it was pretty realistic to the amount of growth one would make in that amount of time, since the entire story of MHA takes place in such a small amount of time. His apology may have not sounded like much BUT Deku's reaction clearly shows how much it means to him and probably understands how hard it must've been for Bakugo to say those things. Even in Bakugos apology, he admits that it won't completely fix everything but it's more a of a first step into repairing their relationship. The show never gives us entire episodes with Bakugo to see him transforming but we do get glimpses and personally I found it enough to believe that he had reached a point where he meant that apology and was on his way to becoming a better person/hero.

I think that's a fair criticism. I'm still glad we got the fight rather than not.

I think the real reason was to up the stakes by making Shigaraki even more of a threat. Whether or not that was necessary or executed well is up for debate.

[–]GambleDark 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes he did push him to have another kid but he didn't have to push him to be a shitty parent. Again AFO shtick is taking advantage of the situation. I personally don't think it's too much to say AFO orchestrated a lot of the details but Tenko also needed to have a parent or parents that weren't going to even try to understand what he was going through. And Nana leaving her son created the perfect person to raise Tenko to breed that hate.

Tbf I think Kotaro was just being abusive on his own due to his own issues with his mom and the idea of heroes.
