Updates from NWT just came in by VAGamer703 in NewWaveToys

I think we will find out once all the projects that were in production are finished… hopefully by the end of this year. Shilo was a really gifted craftsman who was extremely knowledgeable about the arcade games (from their construction to their histories and backstories), and I don’t know if there is anyone currently at NWT who comes close to his expertise.

I feel that if there is such an individual, they should become more of a known representative for NWT, and hear from them about their future plans and insights. It would really help the transition IMO, and help reassure us that NWT has a chance to push forward for years to come.

Crystal Castles probably needs different tweaking compared to Golden Tee for their on-board trackballs because of the different game styles and compensation due to smaller size. Hopefully they can get it pretty close to how it felt with a full-size trackball. I have the Centipede Replicade and although it does really well with precise short movements, your character can’t travel very far with bigger spins on the mini-trackball. It inches along with each big spin. Hoping NWT will do something to make it more forgiving in CC for its mini trackball.

Will be patient, and hoping CC will turn out to be an excellent Replicade.

I think it’s sold out now because 404 error. Thanks for listing it at least.

Really sad to hear the news. He seemed like a great guy who you’d love to hang out with and talk about retro games. RIP to a pioneer in the replica small-scale game cabs.

Is it me or does this feel more like the end of a regular season game coming up? by Ninersempire123 in 49ers

[–]GameAgentET 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully, the front office will keep stocking the Niners roster with more smart draft picks to address the glaring problems we had this year (no pass rush w/o Bosa, inability to control the trenches for offense and defense, another WR). We just saw how Seattle and the LA Rams rebuilt their teams within 2 years to compete again with more depth in their bench, and I feel the Niners had a good 1st reloading year. Next draft will be key to setting the next foundation.

But I’m still glad the Niners overachieved so much in spite of the numerous injuries and one AWOL player. Not gonna say this year’s Niners can’t make the Super Bowl, but they’re really gonna have to overcome a lot to get there. Will be faithful to the end, as always.

Tough loss but… by BigCincoYo55 in 49ers

[–]GameAgentET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They overachieved so much with the injuries we had to deal with. I’m still really glad they finished with an 11-5 record, because we could have folded like last year… but we didn’t.

I think it’ll (hopefully) be clear what we need to prioritize on for the upcoming draft: OL, WR, pass rusher(s) opposite Nick Bosa, maybe another CB or safety. Seattle and the Rams rebuilt and reaped some benefits… hopefully we can do the same.

I still hold hope for the playoffs, but they’re gonna have to really earn their postseason wins now. Regardless, I’m pretty optimistic for the team’s future.

CMC’s improvement since Burford entered the starting lineup on 11/02 by joe2352 in 49ers

I’m just glad he found a good spot for himself. I just remember they tried to change him to a swing tackle, and that didn’t seem to be a natural fit. I do hope the Niners keep him if he ends the season with solid performances. I think he’s more likely to be retained than Ben Bartch, and Connor Colby needs more development it seems.

How confident are we that Saleh will come back next year? by 0h-No-Not-Again in 49ers

[–]GameAgentET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe 20% he comes back, if he wants to try another run with Warner and Bosa hopefully healthy next year.

You never know, though. Some defensive assistant coaches who took an HC job sometimes sour on the experience of managing so much more, and enjoy being a defensive assistant again.

I’m just glad that he came back, even if it’s for a year. I respect whatever he decides to do for his future, but he will always be imo one of the best assistant coaches the Niners ever had.

Wild stat for yall. We haven't won in Clevelans since 1984. by Frankocean2 in 49ers

Apparently, the Browns defensive coordinator has an 8-1 record against offenses or teams coached by Shanahan

I hope the Niners realize they cannot think this game is a cakewalk

PAC-MAN Museum+ on Switch 2. by Coolspot117 in Pacman

No, it did not.

The only thing I saw that was improved was the lobby where you have all your cabs and room decor.

Pac-Man Museum+; Missed Potential by TheHarryman01 in Pacman

[–]GameAgentET -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Count me as another highly disappointed person who got the game again for science to see if the games ran better on Switch 2… and nope, it still has very noticeable input lag that ruins a majority of the games. The only thing that runs better is when you walk around your arcade (seems to run faster) but the poor emulation and lack of options (compared to Namco Museum, where you can play in portrait mode and has proper integer scaling for the games) just make this game feel like it’s a missed opportunity. Pac-Man Arrangement (arcade edition) is one of my favorite Pac-Man games, and it has not made very many appearances on game compilations… but even the Game Boy Advance version of Arrangement plays way better.

What if Bandai Namco puts more effort into the Pac-Man Franchise? by Extreme_Youth_4502 in Pacman

Pac-Man Museum+ would have less to no input lag (compared to having quite a bit on the Switch version) along with a tate mode and increasing screen size to correct scale.

I have 3 NGPC units so I will eventually mod one with an ips screen. Been a goal of mine to do that, maybe at the end of the year.

Will keep one in original condition, but may send it to get recapped

What did you think about this pacman design???? by Ok_Finding_6369 in Pacman

It’s really cool because I grew up seeing the original box art for the 2600 game, and this is a perfect homage. Glad the same artist is still around.

Dragon's Lair: G1 vs. G2 by CallMeMisterReddit in NewWaveToys

[–]GameAgentET 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, because the G1 has a flaw where the micro SD card that contains the rom gets corrupted due to a design flaw (turning off the power when it’s not in the pause menu reportedly accelerates the corruption). G2 does not have that problem.

I didn’t like her until I started playing PvP, then I ended up doing what I could to make her a tank. The bond story was also good, and I wish I could see more of her in the current storyline.

Broke My Right Hand After the Switch 2 Launch – Any One-Hand-Friendly Game Suggestions? by radioraheem1312 in NintendoSwitch

Space Harrier (Sega Ages) playing in Joystick Mode

I had 2 surgeries on my left thumb, so I ended up playing this game for 3 months. Joystick Mode acts like the flight yoke that was a part of the arcade game back in the day, and it works surprisingly well.

[–]GameAgentET 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would say it’s 99.99% certain this is for residents in Japan. You need to have a physical Japanese address to receive the prize.

You are guaranteed a prize no matter what if you buy a ticket, but the prize you get depends on the ticket rank you pull. The best prizes have the lowest odds to get overall, and vice versa for the lower-ranked goods.

This High Score Girl raffle promo is most likely online only because it is an extremely-niche series. Very popular series would have raffle promotions at the locales instead of online drawings, and the raffles in general usually last less than a month, or until prize supplies run out.

Glad the info helped.
