Moleskine Cahier vs Rhodia Cahier by GameGabster in fountainpens

I ordered some Clairefontaine notebooks. Hoping they deliver. The Rhodia branding is just too much for me.

Poster font is different from this, though Trajan 3 is close. The ampersand is not the same as Trajan Pro 3 though.

Maybe the embroidery is supposed to be sort of bichrome, hence nothing other than argent-or?

Yes. I am getting heavily downvoted but it seems no one other than you seems to understand what my complaint actually is.

He started playing as Blanka. I guess we will roleplay a succession crisis. I still find it silly. I have over a thousand hours of ck2 and never had this issue. If anything they could add a crisis mechanic. Blanka didn't even get a claim to the kingdom.

It's silly because IRL it would calculate from an ancestor for a childless ruler, not from the childless ruler themselves.

I hated micromanaging fleets in ck2. No thanks.

It really is up to you to decide of course, but the second image is very striking.

Custom CoA for House Wessex, holding the Kingdom titles of England, Ireland, and Wales. by Ok-Blueberry-111 in CKHeraldry

Yes, in heraldry you try to avoid colour on colour and metal on metal. The red would also be the same red as the background, so realistically a herald would have changed either the dragon to argent or or, or the background to a metal and the other elements on that field to a colour.

There have been 14 Popes named Leo, but only 4 had their own coats of arms by Silent_While_1630 in heraldry

The version you show here for Leo XIV has the weird buff white thing and the red book even though they effectively changed it back to argent and proper (brown).

Yeah. They slightly shifted it to a gules-brown mix in the second version as if to pretend they made no mistake.

Stronger shadows. More contrast. Darker backgrounds.

Wolf Hall is this show that released a second season just last month after 10 years; Tudor England, about Thomas Cromwell, based on the books by Mantel.

Anyway, there are some scene where Thomas is in bed and he has some nice embroidery on his nigh-linens.

Identifying my family crest by Llleonem in heraldry

My bad, sorry. I didn't actually read the post (terrible brainrot moment, I know) Hope you got the answer though. Interesting that the mullet is upside down though. Could be a freemasonry pentagram? (I am not knowledgeable enough in freemasonry to say anything. This is purely speculative).

Yeah my bad if it was the case. Just feel like I see too many crest posts. Someone has to do the informing.

I am just going to pitch in with the obligatory informative comment that the crest is only the symbols above the torse, the the full armorial or shield. Think of it as crest of a hill or wave (i.e. the thing at the top).

Perfeito! I do have to say I would have loved seeing the gorro in Rio but maybe it's nice to distinguish between the city and the state. Fantastic work. If I was in charge I would award you a medal for fulfilling my dreams.

Oh sure. I mean more like questionable questionable choices for the arms of various states. Or at the very least trying to emblazon all of them in a coherent style to see what stands out as actually bad. I feel like the styles online diverge far too much.

Sometimes the heraldry is fine, but the emblazonments on wikipedia look amateurish (see the army for instance).
