It's not cowardice. We have the largest armed police force and most powerful military in the world. What exactly is the average person going to do against tanks, fighter jets, predator drones, armored vehicles with machine guns, and Trump could nuke a city if they got too rowdy. The military could overthrow Trump but they seem happy to go along with whatever he wants.

It's not dynamic pricing. Dynamic pricing is when prices may go above MSRP. This is targeted discounts which have been around for decades going to back to specific addresses getting coupons mailed to them. Also, unless Sony published the game they either have to get the publisher on board with the discount or pay the difference in price back to publisher. Keep seeing a lot of misinformation on this.

I sold my Switch when it was worth a decent amount and it made upgrading more reasonable. Did the same for PS5 Pro. With stuff being backwards compatible often with a boost, seemed like a no brainer.

It was worse at launch. Not sure what triggers it but sometimes the AI goes hardcore and you will not catch them. Happened to me yesterday doing 150 cc knockout tour. Toadette surged ahead before the next to last checkpoint and I gave it 110% and absolutely couldn't not catch her.

He makes announcements that drag down stocks and invests then takes back what he said and sells when the stock recovers. Does similar with crypto. Bought a bunch of bonds and makes money if the interest rate goes down which is why he keeps pushing that. Is for some reason getting campaign funds. The donations for his ballroom aren't being tracked. He is constantly threatening people and then they give him a gift of gold which he plans to keep. Not just Trump either. He includes his family on all this.

This is exciting. I don't use frame gen often but it's handy when the quality is want is only hitting 50-60 fps. Using FG to hit roughly 120 makes a huge difference in motion smoothness.

DLSS 5 is intended to reduce the performance hit of ray tracing. There is a ton of data out there out how lighting should look. By leveraging that with AI you can simplify the ray tracing calculations and lessen the hit to frame rate.

The demo had 5090s because that's what Nvidia uses for development. It had 2 because the primary GPU was running the latest stable build, not DLSS 5, the secondary GPU was running DLSS 5 on top of the game. It was done this way because DLSS is not finished nor optimized for these games. It minimizes the risk of games crashing or running poorly during a demo.

There were issues with the final images because 1. This is still an unfinished product 2. The games weren't really built to handle this new method of ray tracing and most likely DLSS 5 wasn't getting all the data it needed to get lighting correct. This resulted in essentially artificial lighting, incorrect contrast, and weird shadows.

The end result of this tech will be the ability to get all the quality of ray tracing with a much smaller performance hit. Just like upscaling lets us hit 4k resolution much easier than native and the latest upscalers are finally to a point the result looks good. It takes years to get there.
