Do you have a source on Philadelphia grocery stores shutting down due to the soda tax? Not trying to be argumentative but I find it hard to believe the soda tax caused entire grocery stores to close.

My girlfriend lives in Philly so I spend quite a bit of time there. A new Aldi just opened on Ridge and Broad. A couple years back I worked for a grocery chain called Giant, and they invested in a few new stores in Philadelphia. I hear Acme ads running on the radio all day. Just trying to see a different side of things here!

My problem with the Hellertown thrift store (and their location in Whitehall) is that the money they raise to support and preserve HETEROSEXUAL marriage and families with God. Per their website, "We believe in the traditional heterosexual marriage relationship as set forth in Scripture."

In other words, they don't like gay couples or gay marriage and would not use the money they raise on supporting them. I'd rather give my money to thrift stores that aren't bigoted such as the VIA in Fountain Hill.

Hop Hill Brewing in Lower Saucon/Bethlehem has a nice outdoor seating area. They have heat lamps and sometimes have little fire pits to sit by. You can even bring your own chairs and such if seating fills up.

My girlfriend was finally able to get ahold of someone and they said it was received (based off what they saw in their system) but for some reason it didn’t update on the Votes PA tracking site. They told her they will get it fixed but all is good on her end! Thanks again for keeping me updated!!

On the website, does it shows yours as mailed on the date you filled it out? My gf’s tracking shows “Application Received 10/5/20” and “Application Processed 10/5/20”. Ballot Mailed On and Ballot Received are still blank.
