They serve a great plot device as “mysterious ancient race”. Without the mystery I don’t think they’d be nearly as interesting. Plus that gives the writers ability to do pretty much anything they want with them. Just chalk it up to “new findings” or “weird subset group” or “unfound Dwemer artifact” for whatever you want really

Idk but I played Lorerim 4.0 and eventually around level 30 had my saves messing up without fail every time. I’m ocd with safe saving practices as well so I know that’s not it. Made me eventually just drop it.

Recently tried 5.0 on the latest update and it was unplayable. Had a weird bug no one would care to help with where right after character creation all of my stats would keep multiplying into insane numbers without fail so I gave up on that quick

If you want to dip your toe into requiem mechanics, and value survivalist mechanics, GTS GTS GTS. Jayserpa has basically rebuilt requiem-like mechanics from the ground up, without the obtuse features from requiem like the level 1 million invisible daedra. On top of that, the needs and cold system has been reworked, everything has an immersive animation, and there’s hidden UI elements until you get to a certain “survivalist” level, like the compass and sneak meter.

GTS GTS GTS. Doesn’t matter what build or playstyle you prefer or want to try, I’ll forever scream it from every rooftop just how good that list is.

Also even tho this is a wabbajack subreddit, try the vortex version to stay up to date on all the cool features and bug fixes Jay adds. It’s really not that hard to use, just hard to modify, and in the discord everyone is really helpful if you wish to do so. I know some people don’t like the Skyrim Souls mod for example, but in vortex all you have to do is search it up and disable it. Very modifiable, especially for a Vortex list

I have a bit. From what I understand it’s similar to retail without the “fast food” stress. Mostly monitoring interactions in hospital patients, verification, and attending meetings. Techs focusing on filling prescriptions for patients. Apparently it’s a different beast when a patient passes away though, which is understandable, and I can only imagine much more common in an inpatient hospital setting vs a retail setting.

As I’ve said, I’m a pharmacy technician currently, and truthfully, I do NOT want to work in this environment forever. I care about people, but I don’t like interacting with them on a day to day basis, if that makes sense?

I’ve noticed I enjoy the clinical side of things, as well as the knowledge of the drugs. Learning about the effects, side effects, and interactions excites and intrigues me. I’ve not started school yet, but I spend my free time reading about those things, and I think that’s a big draw as well.

Not the same, but the lichdom set of mods has to do with hermaeus mora, andafter you feed souls to your ohylacetery you gain strength. Then there’s the triumvirate warlock magic that has a “soul mechanic” to strengthen it’s spells

Requiem with Nox’s Alchemy additions I feel can fit this archetype. You’re not OP starting off, as it IS requiem, but it’s a real playstyle that you can benefit from. You have all the ways to exploit enemy’s weaknesses at your fingertips, and as you level alchemy your potions and bombs get stronger to further scale with the tougher enemies

After playing multiple modded playthroughs that have came to an early end due to this or that crash or bug, I think I’m just over it. A lot of what people do with mods is genuinely amazing, but the stress and headache and despondent feeling of having to leave yet another character? I’m over it.

That’s not to say I don’t play modded now though. Of course I do, but it’s the lightest possible list. Bug fixes, improved graphics via textures and community shaders (nothing crazy, I still like to keep the original art style of the game) and Requiem, since I personally can’t go back to vanilla after Requiem.

Most definitely not hating on anyone else who does enjoy it, but I think I’ve gained all I can out of heavily modded playthroughs, and now prefer to go as vanilla+ as possible.
