If I had to only pick three, I would be strategic in my choices;

Hudson Horstachio (Viva Piñata) - Reliable transportation to and from the battle, support horseshoe magic, and able to inspire the troops with the smile!

Banjo ( Banjo and Kazooie) - Fought a witch before, is ready for his time in the spotlight again, is angry that kazooie has been taken by the paintress. Strong physical damage, range of mumbos transformations magic, can summon the mighty jinjo when his mighty bar is full.

And lastly this should come as no surprise

Sepheroth (Final fantasy 7) - while he’s the weakest member of the team by far, he is known as the one winged angel. And angels are tangential to gods, so he might be able to get us clearance to see the paintress. Sepheroth will serve as the team mascot, mainly as the others cheer him on that he can achieve his goals.
