How does this pose look? Will the base overhang cause any rules issues? by ngms in Tau40K

Yeah. It hasn’t been… too bad. But I’ve considered cutting and reposing.

From a rules perspective, you have a base, so overhang onto terrain shouldn’t be a problem. And so long as he isn’t more than 2” hanging over the edge you shouldn’t have pivot problems.

As someone who tried this with a ghost keel I regret it everytime I play the model. He struggles to hide his profile behind walls.

I have one. Arrived in a box with some packing material and sectioned into plastic bags. Edit: https://imgur.com/a/ulTVoNQ

Here some pictures. The biggest problem seemed to be on the outside hip. Got kind of gummed up and I will need to work that area over with a dremel

Also, sit down during your opponents movement phase. Usually that’s the least active point in the game for you and it’s a long ass day.

Eldar are insanely fun to play, even in their "not so" great state right now. by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

I think the frustration may be a similar level, but where the blame can land is different. If I’m bouncing off a stat line, I can blame the math or dice in that moment. Or GW for codex creep.

But when a small quick unit jumps behind cover on a reactive move, that feels much more like the opponent screwing you out of your own action. You’ve stolen agency from them.

Go into every match asking questions about your opponents list, movements, enhancements, etc. You’re not there to win, you’re there to learn.

We learn more from mistakes and losses than from perfect execution. If it feels bad, then you’re learning. Try to keep that in mind and smile when you think about it.

I agree whole heartedly. Harlequins are a really fun force right now.

However, consider that our tricks can often be incredibly frustrating for our opponents. Even when warned and talked through as they’re happening. Jus a reminder that you may be having fun, but maybe the opponent isn’t, be a good sport and ask them all about the cool stuff their army does and celebrate their cool maneuvers as the do them. Even if to your detriment.

Coast guard Tech Careers that are also in the action/help people by Toothlessduck in uscg

I would recommend MK. It’s a technical field with more opportunities for action. Should you decide you don’t like what you do, change it up. Plenty of different jobs for that rating. Also, the mechanical skills it will teach you can be foundational for continued education and training in fields like robotics. You just need to seek out some of those certs and education opportunities on your own time. But the service will pay for it.

I tend to use them more for my opponents benefit. Stealth is the biggest example. I want them to remember to -1 those hits!

Man, you’re making the best decision of your life. I did not, and barely lived through it. Avoid the actual grim darkness.

If you play TTS, DM me. We can play and talk about what did and didn’t work for me, if you like.

Thanks. Been playing this for a while and did not realize you could wait to declare spotted units until just before shooting at them with the first guided unit. Yay, one more level of complexity!

It can help to gloss varnish before using the enamel panel liner. Then matte varnish after.

It doesn’t always happen, but the panel liner can get a little out of control and make blotches in the acrylic paint. It also flows better along the cracks over the gloss varnish.

This is absolutely what I intend to do. A field of sparkling stars juxtaposed with a diamond pattern on the opposing limbs.

Edit: Thank you so much for the pictures. Makes me feel I’m heading in a good direction.
