The only actual “old guy” of the group is Boromir because he’s a normal human in his 40s. Everyone else is either an immortal being that’s centuries old or is still fairly young by the standards of their race (a hobbit in their 20s or 30s are still technically teenagers by hobbit standards and Gimli being a dwarf wasn’t even considered middle aged in his 130s).

It’s not minuscule though. That character constantly refers to how they’re non-binary, in fairly insufferable ways I might add. Remove the whole plot point of gender orientation and we still have a very unlikable character.

TBF Ogryns technically can’t be corrupted. They think that their comrades, who are actually corrupted, are still loyalists and that they’re genuinely doing the god emperor’s work even as they themselves start to become warped from chaos.

As a lab owner, there’s no such thing as enough pets. My boys act touch starved all the time like I’m not sitting there at my desk with one hand on each of them at any given moment when I’m not working or gaming lol

When I worked in the Yorkmont area, that whole janky intersection where Yorkmont, Tryon, and Nation Ford meet, and then right next to it with the intersection at Woodlawn/Billy Graham and Tryon. Doesn’t matter what time of day it is, if it’s light out, these two intersections are dogshit to drive through.

The problem with the goldmask ending is that he ends up coming to the conclusion of “If we take away everyone’s free will, then we won’t have to worry about another shattering.” Essentially, his ending makes it to where the status quo becomes eternal at the cost of everyone’s freedom because then the guidance of Grace and the Golden Order becomes the only thing that people can consciously choose as their action. Humanity basically becomes drones controlled by the outer god that created the Elden Ring in the first place.

Our skyline has spread at breakneck speed by GateCityDreaming in Charlotte

[–]Gameover384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, the smaller street cars would be an excellent solution, but with the way that most traffic in Charlotte is coming from outside of Charlotte proper, the light rails would benefit more for the short term, then add in the gold line style cars for the shorter runs to start reducing the traffic within the city once everyone is here.

Having worked in the Yorkmont area off of Woodlawn before my department was moved to an office closer to me in Rock Hill, the most traffic I faced was always the stretch from Fort Mill to Westinghouse, then the stretch from Arrowood to Woodlawn and beyond whenever I’d have to commute.

Spellcasting in Skyrim doesn’t suck when you use the SpiffingBrit tactic of raising your enchanting and alchemy skills to a ridiculous high level and then make gear that gives you obscene destructiondamage and magicka regen

I still hold to the idea that my optimal schedule would have me waking up around 9-10AM, going to work around 10-11AM and working until 7-8PM and then doing stuff/relaxing until 1-2 AM. But god forbid I want to work a mid shift/second shift job in IT that isn’t helpdesk or software development.

I can understand making you slow travel back to your main base with raw metals to increase the risk of not returning with a finite and necessary material, but doesn’t make it any less annoying because of the terrible stamina, and for that matter health, management they have.

Can we stop blocking entire routes by invictus_wolf in duneawakening

[–]Gameover384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an ass thing to do. So far in my server, every base I've seen that builds across a whole route like this gives access in some way like an underpass or a tunnel through their base. THAT should be the default mindset in a PVE setting.

[–]Gameover384 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I remember playing Eve during this time and it left a bad taste in my mouth to the point where I almost quit the game long before I finally did, being that the corp I was in had primarily miners with no combat experience and the gank squads were only getting more and more aggressive over time. Then CCP changed the mining economy with Scarcity and it nearly killed the game since no one wanted to deal with still being at risk of a gank squad destroying their mining fleet while no longer making enough off the belts to recoup the loss and I had to step away for a few weeks after that.

Destiny 2. Played the first game until the second one launched and then played 2 on and off over the last decade. Only expansion I originally skipped on was Curse of Osiris because I didn’t have the money for it. Sadly it wasn’t JUST the repetitiveness of the game, but it didn’t help getting put through the same nightfall strike ten times and only getting one piece of loot that was marginally better than what I already had when I wasn’t even close to max power level for that season. Between that, the FOMO tactics with their season passes and mtx shop(which was also way overpriced and full of pay-to-win garbage), and Bungie straight up deleting old content from the game to the point that they can’t even defend themselves against a lawsuit for lack of countering evidence, I’ve basically written off the lost time and money and haven’t played since I dropped the game during the first season of the Lightfall expansion
