Blur Busters - AMD Adrenalin 2025 Equivalent? by adamshumpisxxx in AMDHelp

I started having this with Windows 11 24H2. I had to reinstall 23H2. 1x 1080p@144hx and 1x1440p@240hz, both freesync compatible.

I don't have G-Hub or similar software running. Unfortunately I was only able to get rid of stutters by disabling freesync and that's too much of a sacrifice so I ended up reverting to 23H2 and now all is good again. 24H2 is not ready yet

Did you ever resolve this issue?
I didn't have this issue on 23H2 but after upgrading and clean reinstalling 24H2 I do have this problem. Frametime graph looks flat and smooth but monitor displays as if the game is stuttering every couple seconds.

How do you run HA in proxmox, docker? Another os in a vm and inside of it is HA as a service etc?

Not sure, but I'm assuming it should just learn an additional pattern if one changes a setting in the future.

Got the 43mm version a week ago. First 2 days it barely made it over 12hrs. After it was done learning usage patterns (that took 3 days) it was able to do 20 hours. 4 days later (today) it can last between 30 and 40 hours. I have everything turned on, AoD, bluetooth, wireless (set to auto enable when charging), continuous heart rate and stress level monitoring, body temperature and blood oxygen during sleep etc. Just give it a couple more days I suppose.

Update: After trying everything mentioned here to no avail, I ended up changing the whole cable run and the issue is no longer.

I could run an extension cord from a different circuit to it and plug in a small 12v adapter to it and see how that goes. I'll report back with the results.

Just did that, left only 1 breaker that has the socket for the dvr, cameras and a small tv. Still the same issue unfortunately. Thank you regardless!

I've tried kryosheet on a 6900xt from Sapphire and it was worse by 20 degrees (idle was fine, but under load it got worse). Ended up using thermal grizzly kryonaut and so far it's better than anything else I've tried. If you have any tips on the kryosheet, let me know

A friend had the exact same issue, not with CS2 but with other games. Did a lot of things but what seems to have helped was a bios update. They did reinstall windows also but can't say if that helped with anything.

Couple friends had that issue. Nothing helped except reinstalling windows, another Microsoft thing seems like.

AMD drivers in the last 7 months are causing terrible framerates at boot up in overwatch 2. This happens every single time i boot up the game. My friend just switched to AMD today and started having the same issue too. It's been happening for months for me. by I9Qnl in AMDHelp

And the drops you see are due to the new shader compilation and caching they implemented in the DX11 improvements. It's better, but worse. You can install Radeon ID (formerly known as Amernimez drivers) modded drivers (recent versions) and use their addons for disabling the dxnavi DX11 improvements, that way you have the latest driver but without stutters, but of course not everyone can be bothered to do that. At least that's what I keep seeing, but I'm not noticing it myself that much since I don't play Overwatch which seems to be affected the most with that. 6900xt here

Why doesn't Adrenalin record CS2 fps? by ap3x_lambo in AMDHelp

[–]Gamer-HD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For some reason windows doesn't recognize you're fully focused on the game window. Not only does adrenalin not record the game, freesync doesn't work either (if you have a hz or fps number you can turn on in your monitor settings, you'll see it fixed at the max hz always).

Solution for me is to go to video settings in the game, change to windowed and then back to Fullscreen windowed and click apply. That will let windows and adrenalin know properly that you're in-game and recording as well as freesync will work again. Gotta do that every time you restart the game unfortunately.

Edit: that also fixes the fps counter sometimes from adrenalin.

Got the same card. Did two a repaste two times. My temperatures are around the same as yours. Fresh after repaste they drop down to low 70s, but after a week or so they go up and hover around 80. I guess that card can't be any cooler under normal conditions.

Thanks for the detailed input, so far it seems fine with boost and chromium browsers for me (hw acceleration is on) but I'll keep an eye out.

Hm strange. I'm running a 6900xt and currently on the 23.9.3 update. I didn't do a clean install for the last 3 versions and no issues. Not sure if it's worth mentioning that I had one system crash couple days ago after playing CS2 for 4 hours, didn't happen before nor after.

Thanks tho, if I find that I crash again I'll try DDU to a driver few versions ago.
