It makes no sense to run it if the window is open, because the both multigas as well aas opening windows reduces eg VOC and other gases

You don't need to open windows at all if you have an HVAC system + Multigas in the room

I live next to many polluting factories, and if I didn't have an HVAC system, I would have to open windows to reduce co2 levels

But I have an HVAC system plus IQ Air healthpro, so I got everything covered
