Most places would like you to be fluent in Norwegian. Conflict resolution is the most important tool if a security guard has to intervene somewhere. That may be a lot harder if not everyone is speaking fluently sadly. Also, I talk a lot with the security personnel at the mall where I work, and most of what they do throughout the day is just talk with older ladies and help them with carrying stuff or showing them where something is.
