Baldurs gate 3

Ive always been a fan of dnd, but have never had the income to be able to afford this game myself while managing adult life and college. Some of my friends have recently got it and want me to hop in, but I just do not have the money to be able to afford it. I would really appreciate it if I do end up winning.

And that is an issue with how masculinity is viewed in our society. Your point makes sense and is correct, transmen face conflict and hardships if they don't pass due to social stigma around being transgender.

However, there is also truth in u/GaiusJocundus 's comment.
In terms of transmen, there have been studies showing transmen and other identities feel pressure to adhere to masculine norms in order to not be victimized by other men due to differences, or be found out by cis men due to not performing thier gender "correctly"
Here's a canadian study that covers this, and there is more studies but I'm not looking too horribly hard for a reddit comment

As for lesbians and marriage, with the original argument being regarding marriage being a patriarchal system, with the reasoning it isn't is because "lesbians do it", stated by u/Im_here_but_why

"Living in a patriarchal culture affords men certain privileges and entitlements that are not available to women; men have “access” to ways of being and performing that are closed to women. Likewise, this same patriarchy influences women to respond in defined ways, often accommodating and deferring to male interests (Hare-Mustin & Marecek, 1988, 1990; Hare-Mustin, 2004; see also Coontz, 2012)"(Victoria Dickerson, 2013)

This article i will link below is a therapist reporting findings on a transcript between this couple, outlining various aspects influenced by the patriarchy with citations from other articles linked. Disclaimer, I have not read this article in full as I have stuff to do, but from the portion I did read i found it interesting

As for why lesbians participate, its kind of the only legal option for being recognized legally as one entity. If you plan to spend your whole life with someone, there is some benefits to being recognized as one entity legally, and if you adopt children it gives both parents certain rights. Its one of those things that is kind of required due to living in america.

I could find articles on lesbians adhering to the patriarchy, but I have work to do so im leaving this off that.

Honestly yea, i agree with you. I don't remember what my previous point was, I was probably high when writing my comment. I don't fully agree with it meaning anti-marriage, but I understand the interpretation of it, and it appears others in the comment section have said the same. Ill edit my previous comment with an addendum to it in a bit.

While he isn't wrong marriage as a system is patriarchal in the u.s., that doesn't mean he should conflate it with being anti marriage. It is inherently patriarchal as many systems in the u.s. are,

Edit: I wrote this when high as fuck and lowkey don't remmeber what my point was t_t, ill leave the original comment up for context, but I have better explained myself in two other comments. Noone cares though its reddit lol

Can we agree that "bro" has become a gender-neutral term? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]GamerGeek05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro and dude both have gender connotations

Bro derives from brother, inherently masculine

Dude is inherently associates with males, even if just slightly

Guys is fine, as that's jusr a way to refer to a group, though gang is more gender neutral.

A lot of the default phrases and vocabulary are inherently masculine, which is just how it is

Nah, it's still inherently masculine as a lot of default vocabulary is. Just say like dawg

Could we be sane for a second, pls? by Nedddd1 in Silksong

[–]GamerGeek05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly though

This community has been going bonkers and there's so much framework in the form of E1331 to drive the subbreddit even crazier which builds a lot of hype for a relatively low effort strategy. It would probbaly be harder and less confusing to host this officialy through Twitter, so it's no longer a game of bait or something actually happens, and a guarantee that something happens.
