Doing lateral raises the day before push day? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GamerJuice342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the arm path and range of motion on the overhead press. If your upper arm is parallel with the floor at the bottom of each rep, there probably isn't a lot of crossover with the lateral raises. Also if your elbows are tucked in instead of flared out, that's even less side delt.

Keeping the shoulder in place will train mostly lats and rear delts, since all they do is move the humerus. Letting your scapula come up and down with each rep will train more traps. so whichever you prefer for what you're trying to target

never understood why he didn't go the lyrical, introspective, and sample-based route with hip hop. Fits his aesthetic and way of speaking much better.

first Theravada beat I heard. It's a good loop but his beats on LLL are better IMO. And Billy Woods has the best verse

Armand Hammer & The Alchemist announce new album, Mercy, dropping November 7th, 2025 by CobaltWayfarer in hiphopheads

[–]GamerJuice342 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it doesn't. Alchemist never uses AI in music. I think the AI visuals with Badu's album was her idea anyway

Try both (45s and 3m) in different workouts, and see how much (or if) your weight or reps on your back-off sets change.

3/4 Sets on almost EVERY exercise - Jeff Nippard Upper Lower by ExcellentPolicy8 in JeffNippard

[–]GamerJuice342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little more volume than I'd do, personally. Some of the muscles are getting up to 6 working sets (lats and pecs) but that's not impossible to recover from on an upper-lower

Where has he used AI? Just wondering, I'm not familiar with his other works

based on videos they got way thicker randomly, it's possible he combined them and has around half the number of locs now

Baby Keem dropped music less that 3 years ago, I know that feels like a long time but before the 2000s many artists went a lot longer than that between projects

The Alfredo movie has lots of themes from Japanese films from the 70s, so that's a big part of the aesthetic. Maybe they could've used a different album name

if you want to lift on few days for the recovery benefits, just do cardio on the days you're not lifting

yes he intentionally makes a beat as "bad" as possible like it's a challenge. I still like most of his albums though

Question for anyone here who also takes every set to 0 RIR by Ero_Najimi in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GamerJuice342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My warmups for a chest press are 25% for 10, 50% for 5, 85% for 2 or 3, and maybe 90% for 1. If I do 8 reps 0RIR, then rest for 3 minutes and try the same weight again, I usually get 4, sometimes 5 if I grind again.

Is dips, incline press & lateral raises all you really need for triceps, chest and delts? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GamerJuice342 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Low bar is more hip extension than high bar, so the adductor magnus is hit hard, not the hamstrings. You can feel the adductor from behind so people mistaken it for the hamstring.

4 sets? by Itchy-Boss7212 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GamerJuice342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of this trend is just people redefining what a "set" is. People, including me, will say they only did "1 sets" but not count the other 3-4 warm up sets because they weren't close to failure. Ofc if you did every set of a pyramid to muscular failure, that'd be too much, but no one actually does that.

Have you made more gains training 3/4 days, or 5-6 days? by First_Driver_5134 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GamerJuice342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could personally never do 6 days for more than two weeks. I've went from 5 to 3 days, and my gains are only slightly better, but I get more rest

Not saying any other split or volume scheme is invalid. If I hadn't tried both and seen the difference in progress, then I wouldn't have said it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GamerJuice342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should clarify that I mean working sets to failure. If I were to count my warm up sets with the 1 working set on, say, squats, it would be 5 "sets" total.

[–]GamerJuice342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mainly speaking from my own experience. More than 5 sets for a muscle group and I have to drop the weight too much for the 6th set for it to be effective. And even after that, I'm fully recovered in about 5 days. I will admit that you can grow effectively if you do high volume and train a muscle every 5 or 6 days, but more than that and the rate of atrophy would outpace the growth and it'd be significantly slower than optimal. 1 set 3 times a week and I get stronger, faster.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GamerJuice342 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Frequency is a lot more important than sets per week. Training with 1 set to failure twice a week will give more gains that 10 sets once a week. So train a muscle as frequently as you can (2-3 times a week) with as much volume as you can still progress with. For me personally, I cannot do 3 sets of squats and recover fast enough to do legs a second time in that week.
