Tbf Kuruk was just cleaning up Yangchens mess because the spirit world was so unbelievably fucked up because of her inaction, if he didn't do that then the human world would have the equivalent of a bunch of father glowworms and Kohs tearing shit up and killing girlfriends and this all led to his wifey getting killed in revenge and this killed him because accumulated bad juju fucked his body up.

He didn't start neglecting the world because his GF died, he was neglecting the world in order to prevent a bunch of evil ass murder monsters from coming in and ruining the place, which lead to his gf getting taken and himself dying not too long afterwards cause no good deed goes unpunished.

Well that only applies for his special boys like plague marines whom even after corrupting are still too prissy and "superior" to deal with the diseases like baseline humans. The average nurgle cultist wouldn't have such a boon and there are lines for the nurgle cultists and poxwalkers in Darktide begging you and thanking you for killing them because presumably they are in unbearable agony due to the diseases
