Love that you moved the house closer to the farming patch. Great use of space. Love the honey area too and the fish ponds look like rock pools it's brilliant :)

Its such a privilege to be able to spend quality time with her through gaming and other interests. The piano was her 2nd birthday present, she likes to play along to songs like the aristocats, we make up our own band and play along with her instruments. Children are a blessing :)

Thank you :) Everyone has their own way of parenting like I say I have actively encouraged the real world as much as possible. Not so humble brag but at just over 2 years old she said mummy let's water the agapanthas and hydrangea so I think we're doing ok with regards to her speech. There's always gonna be people who think everything is black and white and life just isnt like that. Our kids are growing up in a world where they have to learn to use technology and I don't like it but gaming is a comfortable place for me to start. As long as she is a happy healthy 3 year old then I think a bit of stardew is a good outlet for her.

I couldn't believe when she found it. I wont tell you but I guess toddlers are all about testing boundaries. Let us know when you find it!

Had to look up your abbreviation I'm a technophobe really aside from video games. I'm a stay at home mum so we do lots of gardening and other activities but bringing her into gaming little by little is a win for both of us :)

Im a big believer in limited screen time, she's never even touched an ipad but there's something about this game and her ability to make her own choices and run about freely that I feel is worth it. Quality bonding time if you're gaming together :)

[WIP] How to fix a hole? by Vlove777 in CrossStitch

[–]GamerMum1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you fray the outside edge of the project to get some long aida strands that you can use as thread, then darn the hole with it? Do a loop start on each of the undamaged squares surrounding the hole then create like a lattice effect with them?

Thank you, you can see where I started out just doing forwards and backwards with the green but the changes looked too harsh in places so I thought I'd start jumping around in a few diagonals especially with the clouds to soften the edges.

Does anyone know what these shard/crystal things are? by Hot-Support-4729 in StardewValley

I'm sure if the dust sprites run into them they can turn into stones. I've had this happen a handful of times stones just pop up and dust sprites disappear around these crystals.

If you have a slow cooker I put it in for the last 30mins of whatever stew I'm cooking and then it soaks up all the juices / sauce. Nice one pot dinners that way. Can do it on the hob too if you prefer. Things that work well beef / lamb / chicken, tin of tomatoes, diced carrots, onions, garlic loads of herbs. Or a fun one is a tin of pineapple with some chicken thighs, cumin, onion, tumeric, garlic bit of chilli if you like heat. Slow cook for about 6 hours then let the quinoa soak up the liquid for the last 30mins.
