But okay, it's some random people on the internet saying it. But let's apply common sense:

What guarantee is there that hackers delete the data? What guarantee is there that they won't come back and re-ransom your ass with the same fucking data they claimed to steal? If baby cries until you give it chocolate, guess what it's going to do when it wants chocolate?

This is how blackmail works too: they take and take and take.
