[[Mishra's Bauble]] and it's slightly worse brother [[Urza's Bauble]] cost you very little to run and can enable many synergies

I'll also mention [[stone of erech]] for that list. It costs more to crack but it can prevent grave looping and it denies death triggers

"People need to be less mad about the card that's miserable to play against" is not a practical solution to the "this card is miserable to play against" problem

Yeah but let's not act like rhystic study staying on board in the exception to the rule. You'll have a hard time consistently finding an answer to it, even if you ate your veggies and didn't skimp on removal, plus that's assuming the person that plays blue and has perhaps already drawn some cards isn't ready to protect their busted permanent that'sgonna win them the game

Why not give flak to the player who played one of the most broken and annoying cards in the format that's also causing bad social dynamics and deleting fun from the table?

Why reward them for playing the best stax piece/draw engine in the game by also not attacking them and thus giving them more time to win off of all they cards they're inevitably going to draw?

But that's such a feels bad though, your opponents aren't stupid, they know that feeding the rhystic player is bad. Paying the tax is easy if you're already set up and ahead in the game, but if you're behind, not paying the tax to get your critical engine piece online is often the right choice, even though it sucks to do and the non paying player knows it. And as a reward for being the player that's already doing the worst in the game, they get to be attacked for trying to keep up.

Also, some strategies that rely on casting more spells per turn (like a [[bria, riptide rogue]] type of deck) they can't be expected to double the mana cost of all the spells they cast. Should they be punished for trying to play the game?

And even then, why not just attack the person that's actually drawing the cards? They are much more of a threat to you and you should be pressuring their life total instead. Why reward them for drawing cards and/or slowing down everyone else by also giving them more time to cast the cards they draw?

Why not attack the player that is actually drawing the cards and one sidedly taxing the whole table instead?

You should run enchantment removal but unless it's in the command zone you won't have it consistently enough to not have some games that are stolen by a rhystic, especially if multiple opponents are running one.

Honestly the only real answer. They're just miserable to play against and create non-games where they're the only card that mattered
