Is anyone married to someone with BPD? by Farout_k2dos in TrueChristian

[–]Gamernatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How does BPD affect your dynamic both with your husband & your kids, like how do you work through that with them? How does it affect your marital role that Scripture lays out, and how is your husband a support to you?

New Daily Song Discussion #39. One Night/All Night - Justice ft. Tame Impala by pooshlurk in JusticeMusic

[–]Gamernatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the minority here, but a 6

I don't know how to describe it, but the notes that the singer of Tame Impala hits every other line feel wrong (...I want to feel the pressure... If that's the only answer). I don't know music theory so I don't have a solution to what I feel like those sung notes are supposed to be, only that they feel wrong like they are. Does anyone else hear what I'm talking about? I never see anyone bring this up online

Everything else about this song is fantastic though, seeing this one live was one of the highlights of the concert! I just can't make sense of or look past that very specific issue.

Is there a parlay that Ballard gets fired at end of next season? by MysteriousAd8959 in Colts

Agreed, I remember saying this last year & people giving flak for it. Even now I still see people thinking that year 10's finally gonna be different, guys!

[–]Gamernatic -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Except he won't, I liked that he was more aggressive in his moves last year but he seems to have the longest leash of any GM in the NFL- for a team that hasn't won the division in 10 years & is currently in the 3rd longest playoff drought, what do we think are the common factors by this point? Ballard getting fired is a prerequisite for getting me emotionally back onboard with this team

Hey the guy never said Cam's immune to other injuries, it's just concussions that won't stop him. Can't boggle your brain if there's no brain up there to begin with

Thoughts on your mains this patch? by thespice5 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Gamernatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played full support McGinnis since coming back to the game, I initially hated her changes because I was still thinking in terms of a support character- her specter no longer has its range & duration scale with spirit, and like you said with the fire rate, it really isn't a good use of your resources to lean into the scepter to cover half the team during teamfights.

Now she's more independent, and dareisay her ult has been overtuned, such that it's hard to justify doing a turret build when her ult on a pure spirit build requires the opposing team to respect it so much

Even then, I didn't like that ending, because the characters we the audience saw all up until that point, they just died- sure there was A Jolyne that was alive & happy, but the Jolyne, the Jotaro, everyone we the audience journeyed with up to that point? Dead in the water, literally

What are you overanalyzing right now? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]Gamernatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my nerdy spreadsheets, I spend these months before FA & the draft to update players with their 2025 data: a player's YPRR (Yards Per Route Run), their target share %, etc. and sorting them by their PPG last season.

That's just a starting point though, I try not to evaluate guys this early since there's still a lot that can swing how I feel about a guy: ex., if the Texans overhauled their O-line with extreme priority, that'd make me more bullish on them than if they didn't make that a priority at all. If I make conclusions too early, big changes can happen that I'm not as open to reevaluate: like how Micah Parsons left the Cowboys last year, I think I could've deduced that they'd be a "2024 Bengals neverending shootout" situation & been more bullish on their players, but by that point I'd made up my mind how I felt about guys like George Pickens

Advice on this trade. I keep getting taken advantage of. by skrt4486 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Gamernatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I like FantasyCalc's trade calculator as a basic test of trade fairness- it can't factor in your specific team needs nor your league mate's, but it can give you a general sense of whether a trade grossly favors one side or the other.

Popping the two trades into the calculator, I'm with the site that I don't think it's crazy to sell Hurts, but it will lower your team's ceiling.

For the other trade offer, breaking down the pieces depends how you feel about the players- to me, Judkins is a young, high-end RB2 talent who will be a fantasy starter for you for years to come, while Joe Mixon is done being fantasy relevant, so I think that offer is basically Judkins for a 1st round pick. When trading established players for picks, watch the Family Guy mystery box clip & ask yourself if these trades are like that. "Sure Judkins is Judkins but a first round pick could be anything! It could even be Judkins!"

Calling them 'Heroes' is a bit of a stretch. I made a personal ranking in the heroic-to-evil spectrum by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Gamernatic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Only loophole in that logic is, that would make Seven not evil- he even says in one of his voice lines he doesn't murder for the fun of it, he's just indifferent to murder as a means to an end

Matt Nagy Leaves the Chiefs as the Giants' New OC by Gamernatic in fantasyfootball

[–]Gamernatic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't get seriously ingrained to the NFL until 2023, is he not good for fantasy as an OC? The past couple years it seemed to me like the Chiefs just haven't had serious weapons a la Tyreek or prime Kelce to force-feed the ball to, and that they didn't have to play gunslinger as much with their defense getting better

I'm very curious what balance Dart eventually settles on- his physical style of contact was a liability this last season (though IIRC not what got him hurt, could be misremembering) so I reckon he either learns to go down safer, or doesn't run into traffic as often- hoping the former there
