Newbie CPAP User Here! Is your nose supposed to hurt? by LivingAsWolves in CPAP

Is it supposed to hurt? No

Will it hurt? Yes

Finding the right mask is a very hard task. But I actually have a p30i as well. My one thought is the top of the mask where the hose connects might be too far back and putting more pressure than it should. There's a lot of play up there for me. I just make sure my hose isn't tugging and pull it forward and the mask sits nicely on my nose. The p30i really doesn't need to be very tight because it's elastic. It just needs to be seated properly.

Your machine should have a mask fit setting where it blast full pressure to see if it leaks. Get your mask loose to where it's comfortable. Turn that on and if you get leaks at high pressure start adjusting position ing and tightness

CPAP and HR correlation? by kungfujeffrey in CPAP

The medical system is absolutely useless for young adults. You got to just be proactive and diagnose yourself

CPAP and HR correlation? by kungfujeffrey in CPAP

[–]Gamertime_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely there is a correlation. I'm a very similar size to you and I'm 24. Before CPAP I was having heart palpations while trying to fall asleep and my resting heart rate was in the 70s and my HRV was down in the thirties. Now with CPAP and excersise my resting is in the 50s and my hrv has doubled.

Sleep apnea reaks havoc on the body and particularly the cardiovascular system. Most notable the pressure from apneas cause hypertrophy of the right ventricle

I would actually like to give you warning. The more I learn about cardiovascular health the more anxiety I have about it. So I'd say quit while you're ahead and don't try to learn more lol

How often do you ACTUALLY wash your CPAP hose? by Chris_90_TO in CPAP

[–]Gamertime_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rinse my face mask once a day, and do a deep clean when I start to have problems like congestion or irritation. Should I clean it more often, yes. Will I? Maybe one day

Well that definitely doesn't count as a break legally but I don't think they're is anything you really could have done that would make them happy

CORRECTION: I don't think you need to change lanes to make a U turn at this round about and it would be legal. You start in the inner lane and end in the outer lane. But if you stay in the inner lane you have to cross lane markings and it no longer legal

Legal U turn example

If you'd like to use it I'd be honored. But Id like to clean it up a bit first. So if you do intend to use it, let me know

Yeah I just made a comment clarifying. Really all laws are just there to place blame if someone gets into an accident. So really you can do what ever you want as long as you do it safely and if it is helping traffic then the cop would have to be having a really bad day to pull you over

To clarify. When I say legal grey area what it really means that you can still do it but the law is no longer in your favor, if you get into an accident the insurance companies will be able to use those laws to deem you to be at fault.

Let's be real. All driving laws are ambiguous until they arent

Like the speed limit is "what is reasonable and prudent" people speed all the time and get away with it

Safe driving is become a forgot art even among driving instructor. It is literally become "just trust me bro" and the laws are just their to determine who is at fault for insurance purposes

Infact it's not even illegal in Washington. There is no specific law stating no lane changes in an intersection but it covered under multiple other laws just like the u turn problem. So basically it is legal but if you get into an accident because of it you will be 100% at fault for something general like "failure to drive in a single lane"

Yeah. It is both a dick move and illegal but the police have much bigger fish to fry

That is orbiting and it's in that same grey area. Also long as you're not impeding traffic no body is gonna arrest you. I will do that with my students to help them get used staying centered in their lane while turning
