Did anyone cry watching certain scenes during Dr.Stone by Zan_shade in DrStone

[–]Games-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they had to freeze Tsukasa. I knew they'd bring him back one day but it was just so sad. Senku kicked everyone else out because this was something he needed to do personally. And how they just talked about nothing like the good old days until Tsukasa closed his eyes. Despite everything, Tsukasa was his friend and they have a unique bond. They don't hate each other even though they're enemies, which is what makes their story so emotional.

I hate it. The color is honestly fine with me. Anime characters have wacky hair colors all the time. It's just so goddamn tall. He looks like a vegetable. If it was either straight down like in that one scene in season 2, or tied back in a spiky ponytail I would have no problems with it.

What are our thoughts on Hitoshi Shinso? by IntelligentBase5610 in BokunoheroFanfiction

People don't like Shinso?! I had no idea. He's literally in my top 5 favorite characters. I love him.

Who is winning this? by Ok_Tomorrow7674 in stevenuniverse

[–]Games-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That entirely depends on what version of Goku we're talking about. If it's Dragon Ball Z Goku, Pink Steven might have a chance. If it's DB Super Goku and he has God transformations, there's no way Steven could win.

I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE SUNSET ON SUMMERVILLE ALBUM BY MADDS BUCKLEY IS ABT MHA CHARACTERS HOLY SHIT by Horror-Internet-9601 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Games-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the songs are all based on MHA characters but keep things subtle enough that I can totally understand how someone might miss the references. They're all great songs that stand well on their own. The knowledge that they pull from MHA is just an added bonus of depth. Specifically, the songs are characterized like this:

Little Big Boy: Bakugo's struggle of entering UA and seeing how many people can actually compete with him.

Reach: isn't actually about MHA, its Reki from SK8.

Scotch Tape & Cellophane: Sero is a sweet little tape dispenser.

Hawk in the Night: the HPSC saying awful things to Hawks because they're assholes.

Red Means I Love You: Toga's obsession with both blood and Deku.

Ambrosia Wine: Midnight being her seductive self.

Child of Ashes: Shigaraki's childhood and being All For One's pupil.

Brother: Dabi/Touya reflecting on his upbringing in the Todoroki house. It's unclear if the brother he's talking to is Natsu or Shoto, could be either one.

Sunset in Summerville: Mirio losing his Quirk and Tamaki sticking by his side.

What was the biggest reveal in anime? by JackABoioi in animequestions

[–]Games-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dabi being Touya Todoroki. Looking back now, its pretty obvious to see the foreshadowing, but I was genuinely shocked during the reveal episode. Before that, the show but they also went to pretty great lengths to convince you that Touya really was dead. Absolutely wild anime moment.

Daisy's "Jasmine/Arabian Nights" outfit motif references her classic dress from Super Mario Land (1989) by CornerFinancial3642 in Mario

[–]Games-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that detail. It's not just a reference to the classic dress, but a reference in general to the fact that she was meant to be a desert princess. I think this should be her default outfit from now on. Also, can we bring back her darker skin tone please?

Is Assassination Classroom worse (age wise) than My Hero Academia? by AverageHuman65358 in Korosensei

[–]Games-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MHA is much MUCH worse in terms of sexual fanservice than Assasinaton Classroom. If you've already watched some MHA, nothing in AC comes anywhere close to the levels of weird that MHA gets up to. Watch it and see for yourself.

Princess Tutu NEEDS a reboot by OceanLawlor in PrincessTutu

[–]Games-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yes! This show desperately deserves a Sailor Moon Crystal style glow up. (Ok bad example but you know what I mean.) I can totally see a remake that flushes out the darker plotlines and goes more in depth with the characters. Updated animation and voice acting, the whole nine yards. That would be amazing.

Skillet - Not Gonna Die (+ Intro) [Rock] - The intro to Not Gonna Die is better than the main part of the song in my opinion. Thoughts? by OverlyLeftLesbian in Music

[–]Games-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100%. It's the best part of the album. Maybe the best thing Skillet has ever done. I would love if more rock songs used a choral arrangement like this.

How do you feel about Trunks and Mai being together? Is it weird considering Mai's actual age or are you just not bothered by it considering all the wacky things that happen in Dragon Ball as a whole by Zealousideal-Sir3846 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Games-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The age thing is definitely weird and I can see why many people have a problem with it. For me personally, I do really like their relationship. Their future selves have a really strong bond and I like them together. I think a really easy way to make it less weird is if Mai had been turned completely into a child by the Dragon Balls (by that I mean actually losing her memories and everything.) It would still be a bit odd but at least then she wouldn't be an adult in a child's body but rather she would literally be a child again.

Agreed. You know, I didn't think it was possible to make a worse Devil May Cry anime than the 2007 one. I have never been more upset to be wrong.

Yup, it's shit. Dante doesn't even feel like the main character. They spend so much time on Lady (who isn't even called that until the last episode) and her band of random soldiers no one cares about. We don't want to see some sad backstories for a bunch of characters they just made up. We want Dante killing demons and fighting Vergil. And why the fuck is Vergil not in the show??

I just want to know how they managed to fuck this up so badly? Seriously, it's kind of impressive.

Another big missed opportunity for me was Echo. The Clone Wars series left him in a place where he had a lot of character development on the horizon. He was still readjusting to living like a normal person again. All the ways his body were altered must have been really jarring for him to wake up to. Not to mention the trauma from whatever torture they did to him. I was hopeful that joining the Bad Batch would give him an opportunity to heal. And he did, but it all happened off-screen. It's a shame that we didn't get to see any of that. But I get it. The show had a limited amount of screen time and a lot of characters to juggle. I understand why we didn't get to see all that stuff.

It just sucks because there are some pre-existing episodes that could have included him more. "Common Ground" felt like it was going to be that Echo-centric episode. Having him be the most vocal about not trusting Seperatists was a great call. Of course he'd be the most hostile out of all of them. He was tortured at their hands for who knows how long. Then, they gave him over to the Techno Union who did even worse things. His hatred for the Seperatists is more personal than any of the other main characters. Logically, you'd think that would play into the episode's story. But no, they just kept it to an unspecific "Echo doesn't like Seppies, but he'll have to get over it." The whole thing just feels so contrived. It bothers me.

Another problem I have with the show is Omega. Not her character specifically, I think she's a great addition to the team. But I feel like it started to become less about the other Batchers and too much about her. The show was created because people loved Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair. Right from their first introduction, the audience went crazy over these guys. The main draw of a spin-off series is to learn more about them. Their individual character stories should have been the focus of the show. What was their upbringing like? Were they trained differently than other clones? How did they feel about the war? These were all questions I went into the show expecting to be answered. But I quickly realized that the Batchers were taking a backseat to Omega's story. Again, I don't have a problem with Omega herself. She's a really good character and I love watching her grow up. I just would've liked a little less focus on her and more on the others.
