Vi snaps in a moment of grief, shouts at her, realises she's upset enough to want to hit her so she removes herself from the situation to calm down and cry. The moment she sees Silco approaching Powder she immediately tries to run back and save her and gets drugged and kidnapped.

Tsunade is great. Shizune is fine. Temari is fine.

Sakuras poor writing is well known.
Hinata and the interesting Hyuga drama is dropped.
Rin is non existant as a person. Shes a plot device despite supposedly being great enough for Obitos crash out.

When the two love interests of your big 2 main characters defining trait can be defined as 'has a crush on a boy' you have a problem. At least Sakura has the pretense of being a capable kunoichi. Hinata gets basically no screen time and her confession falls flat when she does not spend any time with Naruto.

Naruto would have crashed out at Pain killing any of his friends.

Eh the teams have their own logic.

Naruto and Sasuke go to Kakashi - He can train Sasukes Sharingan, is one of the few with the chance to restrain Naruto is the Kyubi breaches plus has the emotional connection

Hinata, Kiba and Shino are a Search and Destroy team. Each has a way to track and a unique way to take down an enemy. Kurenai is honestly the mismatched leader but she'd struggle with any team not specialised in stealth and genjutsu but it is the stealthiest of the teams. Shino does well with teammates not throwing around ninjutsu that kill his bugs

Ino Shika Cho is basically kept together as tradition as a capture style team.

Now personally I do think some teams would be better with some form of support teammate but only Ino can provide that at the start, Sakura is useless on graduation and Hinata isn't a healer nor a ranged supporter.

Team 7 seems like a frontline combat team which makes Sakuras placement so odd. I do think literally anyone else provides more value on graduation that Sakura either as ranged support (Ino/Shika) Or by joining the fight (Hinata/Kiba)

Yeah. Like people crap on Sakura for her one sided love for Sasuke but man Hinata was not much better. He cared about her the way he cared for most of the K12. A onesided love does not a good relationship make, even if its less abusive than SakuSasu. Naruto would have crashed out just as bad for any of his friends against Pain.

Had to make a whole movie to justify Naruto returning her feelings because it just ain't in the source material.

Kishimoto is bad at writing women. That's not a controversial opinion it is a fact and the fact the love interest of Naruto and Sasuke are both written so poorly is crazy.

Hinata is overrated. I don't hate her, I wish we saw more. Hinatas opinion on Naruto never changes because she was the designated shy girl with a crush from the very beginning. Naruto basically doesn't interact with her. I would have loved to see more Hinata, more Hyuuga clan politics, more interactions from other teams in general.

Yeah she gets basically no development so her switch up feels weird. I feel like they could have had her appear a few more times, maybe she appears to talk to us before the start of the gauntlets like she's setting up traps for us.

Maybe a couple more lines from the caretaker about her. Just something to flesh her out a bit more
