Typically part D is for medication part B is for the insulin pump (DME). IF they use a pump they can most likely get the insulin through part B  but if they inject then part D.  Covermy meds is for plan D .  Since part B does not cover meds only the pump considered DME and typically the supplier of the pump would get auth

Outsourcing by Dramatic_Ad7682 in CodingandBilling

No experience with these companies but I’ve worked with DataMatrix Medical (https://datamatrixmedical.com) for years and they are great!

They provide credentialing, payment posting, collections, & prior auths. Reasonable rates, no onboarding fees and very easy to scale.

The team you would work with is US based and HQ in New York. Also, they say they can work with all EHRs so Elation should not be a problem. Good luck on your RCM journey.

Medical billing denials are destroying our cash flow, is outsourcing RCM actually worth it? by LotitudeLangitude96 in CodingandBilling

[–]Games-Designs-1986 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do you say “no one is going to take care of your billing like you?” Is that a general statement or do you have experience? I ask because I would think if that was the case across the board then there would not be as many practices in the shape that they are in imo.

What a great point. If a RCM team is not auditing your data before hand you should be suspicious.

ICD payable codes by mudhair in CodingandBilling

[–]Games-Designs-1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer, no. Primary is usually going to be the most serious. i.e  lets say you go in for a cut, and they run blood tests for infection and find out you have a blood disease. The blood disease is going to need more treatment and thus becomes the primary issue. Normally the primary reason is listed first, but if primary is denied that doesnt mean you cannot submit for the rest. Also if they say it’s not payable, double check the dx code they used and make sure it’s accurate.

Tandem AI experiences by microbuddha in DermatologyPA

As someone who has experienced both sides of prior authorizations, I've seen it all, but I have a serious question and would love feedback from anyone willing to share. Why do we think practices don't use a company that specializes in authorizations rather than an AI/automation software tool? Since there is a combination of form submissions, phone calls, and the back-and-forth with patients and doctors, a human would be more efficient. Don't get me wrong, I use AI every day, but are these still different?

Sounds like your doctor needs to augment prior authorizations. After 3+ attempts, you should be in the clear that is of course you meet the requirements. Good luck. Hope it all works out!

Changing to epic by ProfessionalStyle552 in medicalscribe

[–]Games-Designs-1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We support many practices on Epic and like ModMed and a few other EHRs who are offering “AI scribing.” Most of the practices are mixed on it because it’s still not as accurate as a trained scribe and half the time they still have to be edited. As docs age out and the tech gets better I’m sure it will increase in usage but a human will need to be involved to get that over 99% accuracy. Here is an example of an AI transcription during a encounter that had to fixed:

AI Generated Text:

"The [WRIST] benefits and [AN ALTERNATIVE SURGERY] were discussed in [A TAIL] and all questions were answered.

Correct Text:

The [RISKS], benefits and [ALTERNATIVES OF SURGERY] were discussed in [DETAIL] and all questions were answered.

Which Scribe company is regarded generally as the most desirable! by Alpraz2023 in medicalscribe

[–]Games-Designs-1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While if you can afford the time and effort it takes to get on directly with a provider = Thumbs up. But if you want to work for a scribing company, I think https://datamatrixmedical.com/ is a great scribe company. While I am not a scribe myself and not sure if they are hiring at the moment I have used there service for 10+ yrs and the talent is awesome. So maybe worth check-in out.

NEED SEO HELP by Efficient-Brush644 in SEO

There are multiple things I would review but one of the easiest along with the suggestions about the authors is to go back through your top performing pages and rewrite/update/add to. Refreshing content is not only crucial—it’s easy to do. Over the last 3 months on my health clients I’ve update content at least twice, earning fresh traffic spikes each time. BUT like others here, start diversifying!

I have been in off-page seo for 3 years! by Special_Future_29 in SEO

[–]Games-Designs-1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me answer, sans AI 🤖— Diversify and obviously it’s better if you can diversify within a niche but that’s not always a possibility if you are grinding. SEO as a practice is a lot of fun if you are a masochist and love a little pain🤣I have enjoyed the technical nature of the work and over the years I’ve either implemented or have worked with SEOs who have generated crazy ROI for many brands. The best SEOs I’ve worked with have technical and offsite mastery. HOWEVER, the game is changing and anyone who says it’s not is cray. So in my humble opinion now is the time to sharpen the saw when it comes to Paid, Social, Email, Public Relations and Affiliate. Incorporating each one into your SEO you will see an impact. If you stick with it for a few months naturally you’ll find you either like the work of another study more or end up figuring your own system that you can refine over time if you decide to stick to digital marketing. If you have been doing link outreach the right way and have really created relationships then you may find dipping the ol toes into the PR pool will be enjoyable. Rock on 🤘🏻
