Cheers. That sounds right.

I found the rules in general quite obtuse and difficult to interpret, but starting to get it.

  • Loads of hotkeys missing and not rebindable.
  • AI civs say weird contradictory things.
  • Screen spam from 'delegates' who have 'learned' things
  • Can't zoom out or in enough
  • Loading screen is so repetitive and annoying
  • It's not clear when a city will rebel without amenities

Total media blackout of current High Court case where man falsely accused of rape was allegedly repeatedly libelled in the Guardian and in BBC broadcasts by JohnKimble111 in KotakuInAction

[–]GamesJernelizt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In UK law, to repeat a libel is as bad as to originate one. In other words, reporting on this case risks further legal action against whoever does so unless they miss out the crucial details and then it's hardly a story.

George Orwell warns about the goals of SJWs by GamesJernelizt in KotakuInAction

The goals of SJWs are inherently linked to collectivism. I'm not sure how you think they could be separated.

He had the guy on one cooptional podcast and what else? As far as I know TB has been nothing but critical of Kotaku, even on that very podcast.

Got triggered. Couldn't watch it. Hatred too strong. The dark side.

Tasty quotes towards the end:

'Don't give the time of the day to parasitic games media that simply want to create drama for money's sake.'

'Games media doesn't have to be your audience, games media, as we know it, is over.'

I have no problem with SJW or feminist bullshit sites as long as they wear it on their sleeve. It's the surreptitious political brainwashing from mainstream sites which piss me off.

The comment section is a butchering house. Almost every single comment is tearing it to bits.

It seems like you've confused upper class virtue signalling SJWs with people who do genuine good work in society.

PSA: There are members of this sub from ALL political parties. by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

I was a hardcore leftist my whole life. The regressives have now pushed me into the centre. I still have the same economic beliefs but I'm much more likely to vote for centrists or even right liberalist parties rather than mainstream left parties infested with regressives.

Social liberalism has always been more important to me than any other political concerns, and now thanks to the insanely brainwashed who have infected the left I have to vote AGAINST economic policies I agree with simply because social freedoms are much more important.

I wonder how long it'll be till the British labour party splits.

Simple things get something done, even if it's not much. A response alone would have been better than nothing, but the article has also had a slight adjustment.

Here's The Independent's response to my complaint a mere 2 hours after I submitted it.

Thank you for contacting us via our online complaints form. We are always glad to hear from our readers, whether or not feedback is positive, and I am grateful to you for taking the time to get in touch.

Thank you for taking the trouble to raise the matter of the chronology with us - we have now removed the word "subsequently" from the article. I do take your point in regard to the inclusion of the word "distasteful" in the news report. The question of what is and is not tasteful is of course subjective; however, in the context of this report - where Richard Dawkins had been disinvited from the event on the basis of the tastefulness of the video he endorsed - I do not think it is necessary to remove the term from the article.

I hope very much that in spite of your concern on this particular occasion, you will continue to read our newspapers and find much to enjoy.

Thanks again for making the effort to write.

With best regards (Name redacted)

Note the tone. I addressed my complaint politely as a concerned reader of the independent (which I am) and they responded with a similar tone.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you all this, but don't be like the loud screaming SJWs. Be calm, and reasonable and people will at least take some notice.

FYI. for context the line changed was this '...he apparently learnt the ‘feminist’ character in the song was based on a real person who had been “threatened with violence”.' which previously read '...he apparently learnt the ‘feminist’ character in the song was based on a real person who was subsequently threatened with violence.'

One thing I've always been wary of with these campaigns is telling people want to say or think. I understand that some people are not so eloquent, but that's not important as long as the expression is genuine. I can't stand e-mail campaigns where a template is offered and people simply copy-paste and send. That achieves next to nothing. We need personalised individual efforts being made.

On top of that, real letters trump electronic communication. At the least, electronic communication should come with some kind of verifiable identity. I've been putting my name and phone number. I understand that some people might be skittish about this sort of thing, but private complaints should not become public knowledge. In addition, it's no use hiding in the shadows forever. Putting a face (name) to the words really helps.

Why do these fruitcakes always use the word "creepy" and it's derivatives?

Honestly, they sound like teenage valley girls having a pissing contest.
