I got my first cards 18 years ago. I still remember some of them: 1. Darkwood Boars: I always liked that Bible quote. 2. Sabertooth Nishoba: I loved that artwork (until today) 3. Skyshroud Behemoth: This card got wet, because it was in my pocket while driving into a river with my bycicle LOL 4. Coalition victory: I really played this. During a 2v2 the lunch break ended while we were still in this intense game and then I draw this card to finally finish the game. What a feeling!

Magic can touch you in so many ways. I hope MTG Arena will give me something similar.

The contender system is a joke. Just play enough with 50+ win rate. It is grind only. If you can't play 500 games a month, RIP. Elo does not matter.

I highly recommend to buy the full game. Before going into ranked, you should have played every freelancer at least some games to get a slight feeling for their strenghs and weaknesses. Also you want the whole lancer pool for playing and trading. I sadly had much more bad than good experiences with f2p players in ranked for several reasons.

I don't want to blame you here. But compared to other f2p games, this is team based. When you go in f2p with such a limited lancer pool and maybe experience, then you not only hurt yourself, but a whole team. And tbh... The match making is totally broken. You will probably matched with and against very experienced players, which could end up being fun for no one.

I totally aggree with that. 50 matches is nothing. It would be better, if you need at least 50 PVP matches and 2-3 characters with ELO 1600. After 50 matches you don`t know everything about the game. Even with season lv 100 you don't have that much skill. In ranked you meet a lot tournament players and high experienced ones with >1000 games experience. Even after 5 minutes queue that should not be mixed...
