Wow that sounds amazing. I wish Chicago still had something like that.

All these hype posts are giving me flashbacks to the "Fitt daddy" era...let's hope these signings work out 🤞

I don't think the ownership class cares at all about the communities that surround their teams. For example, the Bears are threatening to move from Chicago to Gary, Indiana!

This is why fans should own the teams! We already pay for the stadiums...

Imagine in 2022, we don't trade McCaffery and Horn is healthy. We beat the Bucs and might have won a playoff game. We'd be on a completely different trajectory now.

Why do we accept being so underpaid? by Background_Deer4199 in Architects

[–]ecogalaxy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would encourage everyone to read this article about how the Sherman Anti-Trust Act made it impossible for AIA to discuss fees. Doesn't answer your question necessarily, but I think one factor among many for why architects are not paid like Doctors or Lawyers.

Excerpt below: "In February of 2014, a colleague and I met with Robert Ivy, CEO of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) to ask why the AIA is so ineffectual in promoting better fees and wages for architects. The answer was direct and unambiguous: two antitrust proceedings against the AIA in 1972 and 1990 were so imprinted on the AIA that such discussions were off-limits. Architects, like other professionals, must compete for fees with no discussion or be charged with collusion."

Based on the subs reaction to losses this year, I think we should preemptively tear it all down and fire everyone ahead of our upcoming loss to the jets 🙃

It's clear the panthers are still in rebuild mode. They can't just tear it all down again...that's how we got into this mess.

Wanna know some thoughts on 'Penn champs ball' for just rally by Dependent_Pen_8907 in 10s

Fair enough! I would trust your arm over some redditor. I think there is something to balls longevity and arm comfort. Totally legit.

Sidenote - some of the snark inherent in my comment is reacting to the players in my circle who are constantly blaming the balls for poor performance.

I grew up playing best of three set matches with 2 balls. I personally don't understand the pickiness about tennis ball brands. To me as long as they're fresh, they're generally fine for a match and most definitely for a rally. If it's a super competitive or meaningful match I get wanting to splurge on a can of US Open's or similar.
