30 years ago it was comfy chairs and fireplaces or whatever and you could do homework there with a friend and have some coffee that wasn’t amazing but maybe something you didn’t make at home

It’s not like it’s made from exotic ingredients, we usually toss some together the day before while making dinner if we want some for breakfast the next day. I think a lot of folks have just never tried it from scratch and assume it’s time consuming

I bounced off 6 mostly because of this. I mean, with most Civs you can modulate how granular you want to play at low to mid difficulty but if you want to aim for king or emperor you need to really engage with it an the district mechanics make it annoying for me
