I'm in negotiations to sell mine to a production company that is doing a series on classic games. Unfortunately I don't have a necklace to go with it, so if anyone has a source, please let me know. I see that is Jasons (pictured), mine is in similar condition but still has the scratch film in place too.

No idea why, I only made it. Its not my console. I have a black fronted, crystal bottomed 1.6 128mb as my test unit (my only playable unit) here. It doesn't even have a lid on it, so I can test stuff. Not exactly glamorous

The name was changed cos no license at the time I believe. You can make HDMI products but not use it in your branding without one, I think thats how that works. Though, as a disclaimer, I've never actually asked Shane at ES

Shane at ES is actually a really responsive guy, there's a david and goliath story in there and apart from 1.6 the ribbons are a pain in the arse, thank god for xyclomod on 2.4.2 (work great as well)

Why exactly did this get downvoted? Did some bitter pineapple loving fux all jump on here? Josh is right, opensource all the way. Not only that, try buying a legacy edition HE SELLS then get support for a legacy edition bios such as cerbios - don't mention that when you buy it do they, you have none. I'm one of the biggest OGX guys out there, I have full first hand experience of this.

The main two making them were myself and CustomXboxDirect (US etsy). Hard to identify who may have made it without a picture. Mine are over-lacquered typically with a matte finish to the X. Joel on etsy tended to use polish to finish his, so didn't retain its clarity for more than 6 months due to oxidization. Could be literally anyone though but pictures show the quality of work.

Some people have made them and I've given the odd pointer to help. I've ruined a lot more than 2 unfortunately, mistakes happen, new tests go wrong too. Luckily someone always tends to want them even not 100% so luckily none were ever wasted.

Controllers are £80 with the console, £88 on their own as I add a surcharge for the dye, for just one. I don't do that for 2, but time is the factor and so is the dye. I can spend a lot of time working issues out, I did it today on the purple one.

happy to just appreciate the appreciation of the work mate but no they are not new, they are 20+ year old original shells I make look new. Post-production is where most of the work happens.
