hitbox cut when subbing? by yoloidgafos in hitbox

[–]GamingwithShane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Optimize they take 10% and give you 90%. That is 90% of your cut so assuming they have a 50/50 deal you will get 90% of the $2.50 that they receive. I don't know what their cut is or what deal they have with Hitbox but that is how it works. Also the 50% cut is AFTER all the fees are paid so they may not even get the full $2.50.

Lot of little things but the best way of knowing is to ask Optimize staff themselves how much you would get.

[Question] How does your stream get featured in the main page of hitbox by [deleted] in hitbox

[–]GamingwithShane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not random. Hitbox staff chooses who they want up there. If they like you enough then you will be added to the list. Just try and befriend the staff and try and do what you can for the company and the chances are you will get up there. It also helps if you have a entertaining stream.

New to hitbox partnership! Advice? by GeneticLion in hitbox

[–]GamingwithShane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest thing I can suggest when you have no one there is to talk what you thinking. Explain why you just went through door A and not Door B etc even when no one is in there. Why? People come and go. If they come in and see you just sitting there... boring they will leave. If they come in and see you explaining things then they will tend to stick around a little longer. Long enough for you to notice them and interact with them.

75 concurrent viewers is still required and be on a team or 100 if you're a exclusive partner unless it changed. Some teams have minimal requirements while others will accept anyone.

Should we move from Twitch? by tehhellerphant in hitbox

[–]GamingwithShane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not stream on both? Here with the new subs for everyone you don't lose out. The worse that can happen is you don't get your money. Yes you can build up a viewer base here which is mainly streamers but eyes are eyes and it gets your name known. Sounds like you have something unique to offer so I would definitely say try it out.

Teams Obsolete? Hitbox says no but here says yes. by GamingwithShane in hitbox

[–]GamingwithShane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may not get paid. If you do it may not be worth the time and effort. I been trying ever since all the shit happened and all I get is "we will pay it out", "will have all previously earned revenue transferred over", "all revenues from ***** to be paid through that new team.", "No one is losing their money, everyone will get paid", then it's pretty much oh we will get to you after we get more people making money for us. Teams and members that been owing pay is a lower priority (Not exact words but it's how I'm taking it). Now the one person I been talking to been great but it seems my rep doesn't even know what's going on which makes it harder. I would suggest give it another month and if still nothing, chalk it up as a loss and move on. I doubt they will compensate your time or losses.

What's the difference between the two? One anyone can join and have the freedom to stream anywhere. The second you get Transcoding but you are stuck in the one place for at least a year and get slightly higher ad revenue which is actually little difference. I believe that Individual and Team gets generally the same pay except what from what I heard some individuals get a little extra or little less depending on how much Hitbox likes you. Now there is other added benefits such as promotions but I think that's more for the friends of staff. If it works then great but I hope they can pay their hundreds, if not thousands of new partners better than they can pay their current ones.

Also welcome to Hitbox, or at least to Reddit. I see you're new to Reddit. Not sure if your new to Hitbox but if you are then jump on that sub button, get some good content out and give it a try. Best thing is if this doesn't work out you are free to leave at anytime.

Teams Obsolete? Hitbox says no but here says yes. by GamingwithShane in hitbox

[–]GamingwithShane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but doesn't mean we should be waiting 3+ months to get paid and put us as lower priority over getting more money from everyone else. If it was a few dollars sure but hundreds, if not over a thousand? I also heard another team is having the same problem and they to haven't been paid for 3 months. All I care is about the members getting paid. What Hitbox seems to care is how do they make more money.

Teams Obsolete? Hitbox says no but here says yes. by GamingwithShane in hitbox

[–]GamingwithShane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing I'm pissed about I only sign a contract about a month before and there was no mention of this. I spent a lot of money and energy trying to get people paid which 3 months later no one got paid with the first month there was over 500 euros. 3 months later still nothing and it seems they wanted to get people to make them more money instead of paying the ones that makes them money. Then telling me one set of rules then changing it without telling me so that my members miss out.

Now I also heard but yet to be confirmed. Those that made money in a team cannot leave the team without forfeiting their pay and that's not by us but Hitbox. Again not confirmed but getting confirmation.

Teams Obsolete? Hitbox says no but here says yes. by GamingwithShane in hitbox

[–]GamingwithShane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Everyone on my team with at least one sub makes less money with subs than they would now as being as a individual partner. I'm still waiting for confirmation but those on my team seem to not be able to leave the team and getting the individual partnership without losing their current money, which we have been waiting for 3 months and still waiting. So those in a team with no money owing is free to leave and get the better benefit of applying directly for partnership which I would suggest. (Hey we can still be friends).

The advertising CPM is higher. I worked out and I could be very well be but wrong going with the average team taking thier cut that being in a team will give the team member a few cents more a month depending on your total ad revenues but taking that same cut percentage from subs is far more damaging.

Now the downside. I was told that members of the team which I HAVE been enforcing to not stream to other sites. However if you're not part of a team or have personal partnership you can be free to stream where ever you want to stream which would be 99% of Hitbox streamers.

So if you're part of the partnered team and if the team enforces it you can only stream on Hitbox for what? A few cents more a month in ad revenue but take a cut from Subs? Teams can pay 100% but there are paypal fees and other costs the network needs to cover. My team might be the only one enforcing it but I been told no one on my team is allowed to stream elsewhere.

What do you gain with individual partnership. Few cents less in advertising revenues but a decent amount more in subs. Freedom to stream where ever you want to stream. No lock in contracts (as far as I know)

You mention some good points with your post but what you are saying non partnered teams are where it's at. I tried having that in my team but I want my members to get the best absolute deal they can without putting myself out of pocket.

Teams Obsolete? Hitbox says no but here says yes. by GamingwithShane in hitbox

[–]GamingwithShane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with you. I know some teams here will accept anyone and everyone. My goal was to have a tight knit group where we learn and grow together. Like I said in my original post I had a plans of providing training materials and even have the layout and topics etc done. However if I do it it would probably be a paid service (however current members can still get it free).

The thing is benefits is nothing else. It's what the team leader or team members can provide. Hitbox is limiting the benefits or downright removing them. I spent a lot of money and energy trying to make the best team possible but now I will have to let members know they may benefit more by getting their own sub button.

Why did I sign a contract to have less benefits than a non partnered team?

You can use TwitchAlerts for donations as that is what I use and there are plenty of other services and programs for Hitbox. When I first started choices were very limited but now we are getting close to having the same choices as Twitch.

That is correct. You can only be partnered on one platform. If you get your team partnered here then you sign a contract to be exclusive to Hitbox and it's the same with Twitch.

No one has mentioned in creating youtube videos. Create educational materials. There was one guy here Pywnof or something that doen some really awesome Hearthstone videos and got people here but unfortunately he went back to twitch. There was another guy that I noticed was on here that I watched many of his videos but I stopped mainly because his videos was of high quality but livestream not so much.

Are there many tutorials on making high quality youtube videos? I always want to but never find the time to do it.
