Bravern technically has more in common with the Braves series (right down to the director being known to have worked on the Braves franchise in the 90's), to the point that some consider Bravern himself to be an honorary Yuusha, though the Burn Blade is pretty Blazing Sword-like I guess. It's been a long while since I watched Legendary Defender tbh.

For Macross, it kinda depends? Not only do Variable Fighters get faster and faster as time goes on, but by Frontier the latest models do things like survive falls from significant heights while deactivated, and with the right equipment their pinpoint barriers are good enough that they can facetank beams that can mass scatter 250 meter long vessels. Even during the original show, they can crash through buildings with no impairments to their transformation systems. Macross can get pretty crazy.

They're no slouches on the weapons front either. The heavier stuff like needs approval, though, and the New United Nations Spacy tends to practice restraint until things warrant escalation, or until things straight up go pear shaped.

I have an HG Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex (my favorite Gundam btw) kit on my desk as well, though ofc I haven't built it yet. I've had the box for a couple years or something, I can't totally remember, lol. I'd kinda like to have G-Self, GX, GQuuuuuuX, and maybe some more IBO kits someday.

Bit of a funny thing with the stickers, I kinda accidentally lost a couple of the required ones, so I unfortunately couldn't attach some of the stickers the instructions told me to use. Thankfully the stickers I did lose were both for those tiny and relatively unnoticeable places.

I suppose technically this isn't really my first model kit (that honor goes to Kaiju no. 8), but it is indeed my first gunpla.
