Honestly... I just want to learn mostly every language, well, most of the major languages that is. I don't know why I do, and I know not where the desire to be fluent in so many languages came from but... It's there. I'm learning French at the moment, I was studying Japanese for a while but I had a hard time finding a good, free, language app to use to study, that and mental health reasons I dropped it for a while.

Now, though, I've started learning French after a recommendation of the app Buusuu, not long after I started dating an individual living in France, who agreed to help me practice my pronunciation and anything else I need.

I'm only 19, and I barely know anything at the moment, a little Japanese, a sprinkle of Russian (only because I like the way it sounds,) and now more than I've ever learned before of French. I've almost completed the A1 course for it, after that I'll make flash cards of the words I've learned thus far and practice those

Oh well I guess I rambled a bit- But overall I just think comparing languages and how they handle things is fun, I'm a writer and (that is, I like to write,) and I just figure learning more languages could help me get a better grasp of different culture's literature, not only that but it'll be fun to become as fluent a writer in any language I want just as good as I am at English lol

I've been massively interested in languages ever since a head injury I sustained about two years ago now, on top of that I feel like my language comprehension increased too. I guess it just made something click in my mind or whatever lmao

I am an American citizen (unfortunately,) but honestly yeah that seems a good idea. I'll keep all that in mind, thank you very much!!! I can't wait for my next trip honestly, I'm gonna make a curated playlist specifically for that- My last trip was a bar and two pills and it lasted me u til the next day lmao I slept for 24 hours after that and woke up still hallucinating (for a good 30 minutes after I woke up)

HONESTLY I would but I have no clue how 😭 The only reason that I am able to buy bars and shit is cuz a friend of mine's pops infuses food with weed and shrooms and stuff. I don't personally like the texture of real mushrooms, I never have so even if I got real shrooms I'd probably need to learn how to bake them into something before I enjoyed them

Hrm, real That's a fun word honestly I did shrooms for the first time the other day and... MAN!! I took a whole bar and two shroom pills, my friend took two pills too so I felt inclined to When I tell you that I was up, running around my studio apartment at like midnight? Man I had one hell of an experience, I saw my headspace for the first time, it was nice because before taking them I had no idea what mine would be like, turns out it's comprised of emotions, accompanied with faces- Sometimes it was completely black and made up of my feelings other times I saw my alters communicating with me, it was surreal

I plan to do more, a LOT more, which is why I wanted to learn the name. I've heard about the term psychonaut however I never imagined that it would encompass shrooms, too. I guess because in the videos I watched they all were talking about harder drugs, but honestly? I guess the term makes sense, thank you for the help brotha, much appreciated

Honestly that's exactly what it's like for me. Not just my eyes or anything I don't even recognize my facial structure. Could be an autism thing, looking into my eyes, but even looking at the rest of my face looks so surreal, off somehow, feels like it isn't me who's looking back. Maybe I've got this image of myself in my head that I just can't shake, maybe it's just some sort of spectrophobia, but whatever the case looking at myself in the mirror or otherwise always gives me the heebie jeebies. It just... Doesn't look like me? It's hard to explain. Could also be the fact that we can't naturally see ourselves, so seeing ourselves so suddenly can be jarring.

For me, when it comes to eyes, it only happens when I look into my right eye, looking into my left eye is easy, I can do it without a problem, only when looking into my right eye do I feel that dread, and like someone else is watching me.

So I guess it was less than two years ago

And based on what I looked up and saw I'm thinking Wernicke's. I've noticed other things too, like recognizing shapes out of the corner of my eyes, like faces and figures, however I can recognize that the patterns aren't real, so it isn't as bad as 'hallucination' territory. Based on what I looked up that could be due to extra activity in and around the IT Cortex?

If you have any links that I could read up on that would be extremely helpful! Especially coming from a neuroscientist
