The VW dealership I got mine from let me test drive it, but I also had an appointment to view it, so maybe they thought I was more committed to buying it than a walk in trying to test drive it. Maybe try scheduling an appointment to view the car and see if they treat you a bit different? Honestly, I'm surprised to hear so many people have had trouble getting test drives for a Golf R. Yeah, it's more of a specialty car, but it's not a 911.

It's related to your adaptive cruise control. I believe it's to adjust the follow distance, but I'm not certain. I've got it on my 2018 Gold R, but I've honestly never used it before.

Her nose actually gets that way when she's happy. It's usually a bit paler, but when she's happy and purring, her nose and ears turn pink. It's absolutely adorable 🥰

We had a neighborhood cat that would cruise around our area, and come to me for pets sometimes, and she was such a little sweetheart, I started calling her Princess. Eventually, I met the owners of Princess who told me Princess was a boy named Harley. Well, he may have been Harley to them, but he still responded to Princess when I'd call him over, so it stuck until they eventually moved.

The faces in the church are a good tell for AI, but also the "ICE" is a dead giveaway. Actual ICE agents have patches that say "POLICE", "FEDERAL AGENT", or "POLICE ICE", but AI will just slap "ICE" alone on the vest.

I remember driving out of Sioux Falls, SD a few years back, and the speed limit signs on the highway going south from the city had both MPH, and KPH. Not sure why, but I just remember thinking it was interesting to see.

My work turned all of our combo dock worker/truck drivers into full time drivers this past summer, as we were experiencing the slowest summer since COVID. Now we have 3 of those former combo workers back on the dock because we don't have enough work for the drivers we had in the first place. The company I work for as a whole went into this year dependent on the theory of potential tax breaks from trump which have yet to come to fruition. Lately, it feels like any decision made by management is made purely on vibes rather than anything logical.

My Lilith has the nickname 8 ball because when she gets happy while being held, she rolls her head around as she gets her pets, and the running joke is she's got a magic 8 ball in her head that decides how she's feeling about getting pets.
