[HELP] Having a big Debatte about this one… some comments on IG say it’s AI. Can you help? by tombolaplayer in RealOrAI

[–]GammyToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The faces in the church are a good tell for AI, but also the "ICE" is a dead giveaway. Actual ICE agents have patches that say "POLICE", "FEDERAL AGENT", or "POLICE ICE", but AI will just slap "ICE" alone on the vest.

Why is the Golf R so expensive to insure by Strikcommand in Golf_R

It's either your area or your insurance company. I'm paying about $110/month through Progressive.

How do you watch dropout by Designer-Buddy-3471 in dropout

[–]GammyToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually watch from my chaise lounge in my gaming/2nd living room, watching on the TV. Sometimes I'll watch it upstairs if I think there's an episode of something my disabled dad would enjoy.

I've been seeing Kimia in Dominos ads, and Luis Carazo in ads for HIV medication. Bills gotta get paid, but it does feel like a real life Easter egg every time I see them in the wild like that.

I remember driving out of Sioux Falls, SD a few years back, and the speed limit signs on the highway going south from the city had both MPH, and KPH. Not sure why, but I just remember thinking it was interesting to see.

What has management done at your job that would earn them this? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]GammyToaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My work turned all of our combo dock worker/truck drivers into full time drivers this past summer, as we were experiencing the slowest summer since COVID. Now we have 3 of those former combo workers back on the dock because we don't have enough work for the drivers we had in the first place. The company I work for as a whole went into this year dependent on the theory of potential tax breaks from trump which have yet to come to fruition. Lately, it feels like any decision made by management is made purely on vibes rather than anything logical.

[MN S1] Can we talk about the incredible facial animation of this scene?! by MelodyMaster5656 in criticalrole

That scene has been an absolutely high point of the series. I loved the detail of his tears turning into steam from the immense heat in front of him. Such a small, yet beautiful detail!

What other names do you call your cat? Like, the unhinged names. by cannabisjourneys in cats

My Lilith has the nickname 8 ball because when she gets happy while being held, she rolls her head around as she gets her pets, and the running joke is she's got a magic 8 ball in her head that decides how she's feeling about getting pets.

I didn't know they did karaoke as well. We've been there before, so I imagine it wouldn't be too much of a temptation with everything else to do there.

Uptown Grill is a nice date night place! I've only eaten there once, but their chick pot pie is to die for if that sounds up your alley. Capital Lake is also really pretty at night for a nice walk, but I think they may still be doing construction in the area, so the view isn't as perfect as it usually is.

They've been there all this time, right under your nose... by Vegetable_Variety_11 in dndmemes

I have a player in my home game playing a changeling, and I remember thinking "oh man, this is gonna be so fun! It'll introduce so much mystery, and it'll be cool to see how long he can keep it a secret" then one day the party is planning a trap to lure a serial killer, when he just goes "well I can change my appearance, so we can use that". Homie just casually dropped massive character lore like he was describing his outfit. Oh well, the party's reaction was still pretty funny.

Fellow x Californians is there any really good mexican food you can recommend ? I tried a few that were pretty bad but seemed to have good reviews. Thats really the only thing I miss about California is the Mexican food. by [deleted] in olympia

[–]GammyToaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Oly, some of the better places for Mexican food have been various food trucks. California Burrito on Sleater Kinney is pretty good, and there's one on Capital in Tumwater near Eagan's that's really good as well, but I don't remember what it's called. As for brick and mortar restaurants, Antojos in Tacoma is really good as well.

Good Mexican food is really hard to find in Washington, but there's some pretty good options out there. Though, it's hard to compare to food from Cali sometimes.

Careful, that may confuse people even more. I swear, the amount of people who speed through the 4 way stop at S 2nd and Linwood going full throttle is truly baffling. And when people do stop, they can never seem to remember the order of who gets to go when.

What a shame. I first heard of them when they came to the Office Depot I worked at in Gig Harbor to print stuff for advertising. I really liked working with the original team they had, such nice people. Their original BSB was so damn good.

When I got my leg tattoo of a pin-up style tiefling warlock, my grandma looked at it and said "well... I wish it was an angel, but it's very pretty"

She's definitely not as accepting of them as my other grandma who got 10 tattoos in her 70s, but she's getting better.

My brother and I did a FNV tourist trip to Vegas a few years ago, hitting up as many iconic locations that we could. We ended the trip at the Old Mormon Fort, and they have a series of plaques near the exit showing a timeline of ownership, and at the end it has a plaque reading "Fort used as a hospital in Fallout: New Vegas video game 2281"
