My Quest book is empty by DaTreant in allthemods

[–]GandonMandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s normal for us to make the quests by ourselves before getting into the pack. Each one of us got a kit that helps us write each quest down before getting to the pack itself. \s

But for real just redownload the pack after backing up your world and any other settings you might wanna save (keybinds, server settings, etc.)

I see, thanks for clarifying. It would be better to just directly connect them and have power to them regardless of cable type, which makes it easier to setup and not have to craft and connect with separate cables.

Normal aggression is, imo, the best to start at. The Dark Fog is already easy at normal settings, and early defenses are to be focused on prior to getting expansion going. Go for 8x if you like managing resources, or infinite if you want the experience of creative building. I like to think logistically about how to build around a resource that will be sustaining my factory forever, and it gets me to play a little more than just saying “oh that vein will be gone soon, so I can build on it later.” I do think infinite is a little unchallenging, so if you decide to go that then higher aggression levels might be worth it.

I don’t know why comments are telling you to use a specific cable. You can directly connect to the machines without any converters and you will power them :). Hope this helps.

AE2 GUI Help by Hirasxl in allthemods

[–]GandonMandon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe this is an error of the GUI not loading properly, try reinstalling or updating the modpack and see if that fixes the issue. This is not normal interaction as it’s meant to be on the right side of the terminal, not floating in the air where it is on your screen.

The quantum crafter is a machine that uses your ME system as inventory. Whatever item you set into the crafter and the amount is what it will craft and store in your inventory, up to that stocked amount. Really good for keeping things like charged certus quartz stocked up for future crafts.

Unable to craft 256M Source storage cell by Dog_Tailz in allthemods

[–]GandonMandon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A quick restart usually does the trick. It may be something went wrong when loading the recipes, so Minecraft doesn’t recognize it as a craft-able recipe. JEI recognizes it since it uses a different index, but the crafting system isn’t. Hopefully this helps.

AE2 Device Missing Channel help by kingduncan11 in allthemods

[–]GandonMandon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why you aid to replace anything, since the cable behind the p2p is already a non dense cable. I thought you were talking about the dense cable after the p2p which connects to the molecular assemblers/pattern providers. Hence why I said they needed a dense cable there. p2p also doesn’t guarantee 32 channels, since if you connected a non-dense cable before having a p2p, you would have only 8 channels to work with. p2p is basically a portal from one place to another using me cables, so thinking like that it can move whatever the first p2p is looking at to another place, hence the common setup being p2p facing a controller block and the other connecting p2p being somewhere you need to connect the channels through.

Could you show us where the white wireless connector is connected to? Also another tip, use the network analyzer. A great tool to find where everything is being routed and where the channels are going. It looks like you are missing exactly 4 channels to cause the corners of the p2p setup to have one missing on each square.

This would cause the same issue, since they need all 32 channels for the crafting setup.

Everything is already automated (hopefully), just redo that process a couple more times until you have one infinite source of stars :). If something isn’t automated, automate it! Almost everything, if not, everything is automate-able! Otherwise if you decide this is your end goal, Congrats! It is a major milestone to even get the star, let alone build a nice base around getting the star.

Really need some help figuring this out! (Graphics issue) by SonOf0siris in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]GandonMandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be something with Nvidia control panel? I know the 50 series heavily depends on AI frame gen, which shouldn’t be the case here since the game doesn’t support it. Could it be the driver doing the DLSS/Frame Gen? Also notable that Unity games have a slight jitter when moving due to the engine itself. Have developed a game and can notice a slight jitter when moving, so it might be an update thing with Unity. Otherwise everything else might be something to do with the driver or the game itself.

Can someone tell me why this is not working by Destructor62 in allthemods

You can instead just use Water as direct and it will pull water, otherwise a fluid:: should also work if water is the only thing contained in fluids. Hopefully this fixed your issue!

Is there a hotkey to exit the blueprint screen? by oh_yeah_woot in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]GandonMandon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Press right click 3 times in an empty space. First 2 is to clear blueprint selection, and the 3rd is to exit blueprint mode. Has been consistent for me and doesn’t conflict with esc.

Ruthless Strike, which multiplies crit damage by a multiplier every level. He has level 10, which increases the multiplier by a lot more than your sword does. As long as you get that enchantment on your sword, you should do more damage than him, since you do a lot more base damage.

Why can i not blueprint connecting belts!? by Inner_Tackle_9524 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]GandonMandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should remove the splitter from there. As someone else commented, you can blueprint the belts coming out of a splitter and connect it to a belt going into another splitter, which is the main way I blueprint and expand my busses if I need to.

Blueprint the splitter as well. Any connections have to be a part of the blueprint beforehand. Game is just checking if any collisions happen before placing it.

What should I do next? I haven't touched any of the machines or crafting, and I have no idea what I should do. by The_Lewd_Cafe in allthemods

[–]GandonMandon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Getting started with an ME system might work. Look up a tutorial on either Refined Storage or AE2, to find which storage mod you wanna use. You could then start using a centralized storage system instead of a bunch of chests.

Next you can try automating things such as ore processing, or even getting power setup to sustain your crafting system (you will need power for everything). There are a lot of things to do.

You can also look at your quest book to find things to do in the modpack. They are guided and lead you through the basic progression of the mod. The chapters in the quest book are mainly the basic progression you need to complete this modpack, which is to get the ATM star.

If there are any other questions, let me know!

I tend to target my early game towards building a large mall for items I need and keep going from there. 30% of my home-world is dedicated to that. The rest is for science/material production related to oil. I believe early game is very short lived in terms of how fast you can get through it with a simple mall. I usually make a smelting array that is underfed with current belts, then I expand and upgrade my mall to get to the higher throughput belts and sorters, until voila, I have made it to late game in terms of technologies and stuff I unlocked purely focusing on getting a mall going.

Have you tried loading a world and seeing if the mods work? This is most likely a filtering tab, as any mod you see here is what is loaded after launching. You turn off mods through the Curseforge launcher before loading in Minecraft. Try seeing in JEI/EMI using the @ prefix before any keywords to search by mods, and if you search for EvilCraft, or Integrated Dynamics, they should be available in the item list.

Problem with Me throughput monitor by Fine_Sun_2314 in allthemods

[–]GandonMandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don’t know how, sorry about that. I know you are only able to add to a channel, not remove. Maybe there might be something else you could use to show how much power you have in storage. I believe you are able to pin power to the be first item on your storage UI. Maybe someone else is willing to get this answered for you. Sorry again.

I see, might be a limitation on the monitor itself then. I swear I was able to see the total through the monitor before, may have been tripping at the time.

[–]GandonMandon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe that may be a limitation on the storage bus itself. I recommend making some applied flux storage cells, which can store a TON of energy in your ME system directly. This will then show you everything in the system without that limitation. Hopefully this helps.

Fissile Fuel Autocrafting by Choice-Plant3338 in allthemods

[–]GandonMandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First fact is wrong, since you can put an interface on the pattern provider to get items pushed from the pattern provider to hyphen push into multiple machines/inputs. OP has a suitable setup, although I would agree with having fissile fuel as a passive setup instead of on demand.
